What do guys think of this? I know that there are already enough kit formats out there. But what if there is a format that is a combination of both 32 bit and 2GK. You can have the colors of 32 bit and the resolution of 2GK. I have come up with a such a format. I don't know what it will be called yet since all of these names are silly. But my kit format is in 24 bit with 4 sleeves. And the following dimensions:
front and back of jersey= 192x192 pixels
sleeves and socks= 96x96 pixels
shorts= 150x96 pixels
As you might noticed, these sizes are bigger than 32 bit kits and smaller than 2GK. You can have detailed kits with 24 bit colors. 24 bit and 32 bit are not that different in terms of colors. They both have an unlimited amount of colors you can use. I was only able to get 24 bit to work. 32 bit with these sizes crashed. Maybe someone can improved and make it 32 bit. But for now, at 24 bit it works fine.
Here is the following textures that I've have tested.
1. 2GK- Somewhat Compatible- the sleeves may not work
2. 2GK2S-Somewhat compatible, the sleeves may not work all of the time since this kit format was made with 4S
3. 2GK4S-Compatible
4. 32bit4S-Compatible
5. 3GK- should work since 2GK4S work.
This kit format unfortunately don't work with the following texture.big and player.big
1. EA's original texture.big and player.big
2. Yj's 2S patch
Comments or opinions.
I would like to note that this kit format was made using Ariel Santarelli's 2GK4S and 32bit4S ideas and creations. I had the idea of combining the benefits of 32 bit and 2GK technologies together for awhile now. None of this would be possible without Yj's 2S ideas and Ariel's continuing work on 2Gk,3GK and 4S. So please don't label me as stolen someone's ideas. If the majority think that this format is a bad idea, then I will keep it to myself.
Who knows, maybe Ariel can improved on this and make a 3GK version of this with the keeper's kit included. Anyway, here is a picture of the size of each parts of the kit. Also kudos to anyone who can come up with a good name for the format. You can tried out my Ajax home and away kits. Play them in a friendly to see how the kits look.
