You guys are talking about how many years you played this game (including alll CM and FM games). While I only been playing for a year now .

Within a year even. Either Tom is a really good teacher, or he's indeed really bad at FM.

Nah, just kidding, he tought me everything I know about FM, explained every aspect of the game. In fact, I would have never gotten to play it if it wasn't for Tom. So the answer is A: good teacher .

No I haven't been playing as long as you have. The first edition I played was CM3 which was the 98/99 version of the game. So this is my 8th game. Although I'm not even sure if I ever actually had the full version of CM3 or just the demo. Back then you could find full downloads of games just by searching lycos.... oh, what happy times for a kid from the USA just wanting to manage European soccer clubs.

And I'm just as diabolical at downloading tactics instead of creating my own as I ever was. I just want to win and make big name signings, is that so bad!!!!

I have to say, before CM though, it was so SO bad in terms of management games. USM98 was the last of the really bad management games before CM took hold.

Before then, you had console S H I T like Kevin Keegan's player manager, truly diabolical.

CM singlehandly revived a genre, and games such as CM5, TCM, FIFAM and PESM should be eternally grateful.

I actually spent money on FA Premier League Manager 2000. That was the last non-SI management game I will ever buy. Horrendous.

i think we all tried to "test" the water. I "acquired" CM5 and promptly deleted it.
