Chargers Preseason Schedule:

1st game: vs. Packers (I wonder if I'll get to see #4) Saturday we'll know.
2nd game: @ Chicago
3rd game: vs. Seahawks
4th game: @ San Fran

...then it's Monday Night @ the Raiders. Sep 11th.

Our first win, and it's gonna be at our rivals house...what a way to start. (hopefully) :ewan:

I bet my roomate (Raider fan) a 12-pack of whatever we want. Weak. (H)

You better. If Favre actually retired now it would be a huge douchebag move. The Pack would have to completely reorganize their draft boards with Cutler and Young now in the discussion, plus they would have already missed out on any shot at the better free agent QBs. If you're gonna retire, just do it. Plus he's the reincarnate of God.

Apparently Chargers' GM AJ Smith wants to trade Donnie Edwards. haha, yeah, that would be a GREAT move, hopefully he does it so we don't have to deal with him anymore. :p

'06 NFL Draft anybody???

With the 19th pick the San Diego Chargers select (WR - Ohio St.) Santonio Holmes...

It's the most common pick that I've seen on mock drafts, us drafting Santonio. I think that as long as our pick is a WR, LT, or a DB we'll be good.

Everywhere I see has the Packers taking AJ Hawk, which I think is a reach. Next Andy Katzenmoyer. I really want Mario Williams and I wouldn't be adverse to trading up for him.

Can't do it now, Williams just signed a 6 year, $54 million deal to be the #1 pick. There are already teams, including the Packers and Raiders, who are looking to trade up to the #2 spot from what I've read.

Well, it took a year to fully prove that I know what I'm talking about. Matt Leinart cost himself sooooooooooooooooooooooo much money by staying in school for an extra year to lose the National Championship game, take ballroom dancing, and be king **** in Los Angeles. Maybe ten million dollars or more. If you're the #1 pick you don't stay in school, it's ******* stupid.

And yes I'm mad the Packers passed up on Leinart for AJ Hawk. I realize we have a lot of problems, but at the worst we could have traded him and at the best we have only 2 QBs for 30 years of the franchise.

Packers are my favourite NFL team, but I dont really know alot about the NFL. The small knowledge I have is from playing Madden for the last couple of years and NFL Total Access I receive here since the last couple of weeks... But isnt Hawk an excellent player for the Packers atm?

I'm not convinced Hawk will be a good NFL player. He seems incredibly slow for an Outside Linebacker.

You're just hatin' on A.J because he's white and being white yourself, you see your own kind as being an inferior calibre of athlete to the Negro.

The dude tested better than the "athletic freak" Urlacher in almost every category except for the bench (did something like three reps less) A flat 4.5 in the 40yrd to BU's 4.65, 40 inch verticle to BU's 34, 3.97 in the shuttle to BU's 4.18. I mean, he's a bit smaller, but I think with a years worth of development physically plus the off-season, he'll easily pack on 10-15 pounds of muscle without really compromising his quickness. Honestly, man, I think he's sufficiently capable of playing on the outside, but he'd be better suited for the MLB. I'm not saying that he's a pure pass rusher by any means, but he's also no slouch either, man.

He's aptly named as the Hawk, man. Very intelligent both on the field and off. Laterally quick, excellent instinct, vision, and he's more than capable to run down almost all RBs and strong enough to take down any TEs, man.

Be happy, your D desperately needs a dude just like Hawk.

DG literally jzzed his pants with delight with that pick.

haha, why the hate for Leinart?

About Leinart making the bad decision of not coming out last year, yeah, he obviously lost a ton of money not to come out last year but he was hurt. He had a hernia and elbow problems which required surgery after the season, there's no way he would have been 100% for the combine and workouts. That alone might have affected where he could have been drafted last year. It's not like getting drafted by the Cards was a bad thing anyway, I think he's going to be in a very good situation there.

Well, we picked up Huff with our first pick and it was definitely a good one, we desperately needed help on defense and in the secondary and he's a perfect fit.

If you're referring to me, bro. I ain't hatin' on Leinart at all. I think he, much like Big Ben, has been fortunately picked by the right kinda coach/team/system. He'd probably struggle in a place like GB because of his dubious arm-strength. But with the solid young offensive core that they've got in Arizona, I think he'll quickly adapt to his new surroundings and respond properly to the demands of his coaches.

Yo give that over man, I'm sure Chargers' coaches are still looking for tape on this kid.

Reggie Bush wants to wear #5, GIVE IT TO HIM!!! Eventually more NFL players will ask for sigle digit #'s but Bush is gonna probably be the first. :mrpimp:
