In Japan only girls and young kids play the Nintendo DS, and I swear to god the same is going to happen of this product to the Wii once all the hub-bub dies down. PS3 is out and has already polarised the market anyway. Aside from the traditional 'puripuri' games, the more seinen orientated stuff has been slated by reviewers. No change there.
Speaking of next gen consoles, the PS3 is running for about 70,000 yen in Japan roughly around £300.
A considerable whack less than the supposed £400-450 mark that retailers in the UK are suggesting.
Also that price will shoot down to 60,000 in a few months. So no doubt it will be even more cheaper than its UK counterpart come March.
