yeah pasion is right, a lot of people are crazy about the virtual console, in fact that's one of the reasons I bought the Wii.

btw, they released three new games today: Donkey Kong Jr., Victory Run (Turbografx), Ristar and Columns (both for Genesis)

Not right now, but you will be able. Nintendo is still tweaking their online gaming services, it's rumored that the new Smash Brothers will be the first online game (set to be released early next year I think)

got a region question about the Wii in case anyone know...since they say the Wii is region free (I think? ), does that extend to Gamecube games?

So basically, if I wanted to play a Japanese or Euro GC game on a North American Wii, would I be able to?

EDIT: Just found out the Wii isn't region-free...that sucks ass.

coz i do and well.....its brilliant

wii sports is so much fun and so funny to watch but seriously it so realistic

i have zelda too and wow it is so good...the graphics arent that good but certainly a massive step up from the previous 1s

overall i'd say GO BUY 1 NOW!!!!

nah, that's a minor dissapointment. Even though the DS is region free and Nintendo had hinted early on that this was the direction they were going from now on..

Has more to do with the fact that there's no soccer games planned (besides a couple word of mouth rumours) and probably won't be since it doesn't take advantage of the Wii controller. That and while the Wii's concept is still pretty neat, I can see the novelty of it wearing off quick, especially if the games they release don't have the depth to keep me interested for long. I also got a HD tv not that long ago so I wouldn't be taking proper advantage of it with the Wii's average graphics.

I dunno, I still like the Wii but the more I look into it the more it just seems like a Gamecube with a couple new bells and whistles :(

For me what turned me off from nintendo was the Gamecube (just mediocre IMO, and the controller i was never a fan of)
