NK, I wanted to tell you this all day but didnt have the time. Your update is close to difficulty you achieved (or at least I thought) in Fifa World Cup 2006. Also, I dont know if you did this or not, I LOVEEEEEE to see the computer using the right stick cheat to make their strikers move faster. The game was much more like playing someone than playing something. Plus, glad to see the computer shoots, and shoots, and instead of showing me how good they can move the ball, they shoot.

Thanks bro, I try and make the computer play as lifelike as possible. They use the 'right stick' skills much more now. But yes, they shoot more too so they won't mess about so often. thanks for the comps, let me know if anything bugs you mate.

Danny 74, the new update will be out soon. It won't be 3+ months like X-PRO, as the new update is simply build upon X-PRO to improve it.

I'm currently working on shooting and cpu defence.

I'll have to look at the Offside variables, but I'm pretty sure this would be very difficult to fix buddy. Sorry.

It`s very big and stupid EA mistake,
it would be great to fix that ...
Yes I know it is hard ,but consider it for some future update please.

One thing that needs to be addressed is the pathetic and slow goals the CPU scores. The make a head that is way outside the box and going slow like snail, but the player goalie always misses it. I mentioned this before, and it ruins games.

The game's interpretation of the offside law in that situation (ball rebounding off the post, or off the keeper, or hitting (rather than being played by) a defender) is absolutely correct. If one of your players is in an offside position at the time another player takes a shot and a goal is scored then that is not offside (unless they are interfering with play, by blocking the keeper's view for instance). However, if the keeper parries the ball or it rebounds off a post, and falls to that player then they are offside.

For the gory details there is a copy of the laws of football available from FIFA's web site and the relevant passage under law 11, decision 2, is:

"Gaining an advantage by being in that position means playing a ball that rebounds to him off a post or the crossbar having been in an offside position or playing a ball that rebounds to him off an opponent having been in an offside position."

this is 100% not right, only blind and one who don`t watch football
can say that ....

1st example:
I shot to the goal ,ball hits oposition player ,then it rebounds to my second player and what .... that is offside ...I don`t think so.

2nd example:
I see on radar that oposition goalkeeper has come out of the goal,
I shot from half.... and realy I hit the bar , my player runs to the goal,
hit the ball and scores, judge says OFFSIDE
Imposible.............

Hey nk, how exactly can one shoot? The finesse shot doesnt seem to work. Whenever i try to shoot from outside the box,even after settling the ball, i either hit one of the corner flags or an innocent fan in the top row! Everything else is great! SUPER GAMEPLAY,no more simulated games,yet again simulating games could be the easiest way to beat teams!lol

While playing just thought of a couple of things to possibly change in the next update:
1. Toned down foul calls on air balls (off of clearances, freekicks, etc.) I just had one game where there were literally 5 foul calls in a row without the ball the hitting the ground (foul, freekick, foul, freekick, etc). It only ended when the cpu got a call close enough to my goal to convert on a freekick.
2. Maybe instead of concentrating on making the cpu defense better, improving the ai attack would make for more challenging games. I can't speak for everyone, but right now I pretty much dominate play well enough that although i'm only winning 1-0, 2-0, etc. the outcome never really felt in doubt and the shots are usually heavily in my favor. If they cpu was more dangerous on the offensive side it might balance it out a bit.
3. Freekicks are very hard to keep down...maybe too hard

You are correct, the off-sides in FIFA, although a little too scrappy to be REALISTIC at times, are indeed techinically 'correct', though whether or not a linesman would spot the offside is upto the real-game. FIFA is just that...a video-game. I wouldn't worry too much, the offsides always get better each year as EA sort out the engine. Especially the 360 version of 08.

I must say the Gameplay is better
But one thing is very bad. The new Defence is in almost the same manner than the EA Defnce. 6 Defender stand in the penalty area and 3 or 4 of them stand by 1 attacker, but no player attack the Attacker with the Ball. And that is very stupid and bad. And so a stupid denfece is minimum one time per Game but mostly two or three times per game.
And the CPU Corners are to dangerously. 90% of the Corners are a goal, because the own players are stand on her position and you thing that they were freeze. Only the Player which the user control, this player moved herself a little. And when I say Goalie come out by a corner he do this a little for example 1 meter or a little bit more and very slowly. And the CPU Goalies are very fast when they come out at corners and so they hold or they get at the ball with the fist and this is by 60% of the corners. And i can shoot the corners sowehow.
Maybe I´m to stupid for FIFA but that I don´t believe.

The defence has dramatically improved now. They'll close you down much quicker and stop you from getting easy shots or passes into a dangerous position.

Tackling has also undergone work, so getting the ball off the cpu at corners will be easier, as well as the cpu been less accurate at free-kicks and corners.

Without the Hardcore Striker Mod is it difficult enough, because many Balls from the User and the CPU are fly many meters over the goal.
That sometimes I think that the CPU or I try to hit the Cornerflag and not the goal
