I know what I have changed in this latest beta. So if you believe this new release to be of a worse defence, then I will know what to do to bring it back up. However, technically on paper it should be better, but it's no guarantee until you get playing.

very good, very difficult to store, cpu likes to keep possession. thank you very much for this. crosses could still be less accurate from the CPU, my defenders could use a boost, and the cpu could clear the ball more often instead of dribbling around in their end

ok here's my own feedback! WE5betaX is better than WE5beta4.6 because of the pressure and man-marking.

betaX uses an older method of mine where it reverses EA principles and employs are quicker distance for man-marking and pressure, yet keeps in a long period of time for aggression CPU players' and close down. This resulted in a more strategical play.

I have worked on this and will keep this next beta to myself to play-test until more feedback is gathered on the other beta's to make further progression.

Although I have a feeling everyone is waiting for FIFA 08 now!

If that's the case, then I feel I am wasting my time.:boohoo:

Thanks man. However, betaX has proved for me personally to be the better version. Although the latest effort 4.6 has less pressure forward and man-marking (which may increase the cpu attack/possession), they are too easily broken by ME! So I have worked on a better system of defence and attack and I believe breaking the defence looks more natural and not so unfortunate for them, but rather skillful.

OH MY GOD!!!! HAHAHAHAHA. *foams at the mouth*

This is quite exciting. Now, I sure hope this wasn't just THIS particular match....but the defence and attack of the cpu was near damn perfect.

I could not make an easy break at all, in fact they stayed back really well and kept a man on my strikers so I had no one to pass to and then they'd quickly close down my player and make quick attacks and passes, in fact my goalkeeper kept me in the game a lot!

Damnit. I can't believe it's almost complete, MY CREATION! it is beautiful lol. (it might be alive after all the work I've done on it!). *looks over shoulder*:$

I am tuning the shot mechanic now so that once you do create a chance, it's not a certain goal. But it will remain more or less the same as what you've been playing, so no worries.

I urge you all to play more than 1 match. If shooting is still too easy I will be making it much harder to direct the shot. As the defence is probably near enough the hardest I can get it at this point.

the cpu seems to shoot almost zero times now, only when they are wide open. they are always looking for crosses. i want them to wind up even from the outside of the box and try to score if possible. even if the accuracy is bad, they dont do this anymore. its always pass pass pass cross. cross cross. i want them to shoot from long distances!

edit: I will try beta 5.5. but 5.4 had the lack of shooting problem. thanks

They do shoot, but if it's better to pass or cross in the ball they will. Best way to solve this and force a shot is to take away their options, either through formations, man-marking or real-time tactics e.g. pressing, zonal, offside trap. You want to make them have to shoot or try more. If there's an open guy in the box, they'll prob try get the ball to him and best way to do this is a cross :)

I prefer them working for the goal rather than just shooting and wasting possession. But in this case I can't win as some people will love it, some won't.

I have some bad news and good news for you.

Bad News:

I first tried the X patch and i have to say it was easy..I trashed the team 8-0 in WC 16 mins match.I liked the way the defence held a back line to stop some of my attacks.

Good News:

Your latest effort is almost perfect...I had lot of fun.It ended 3-2 in WC 16 mins match.The shooting is perfect and so is the defence.I loved it.

The attackers are also as agressive as i wanted them to be and i liked that but the one complain i have against them is that they try taking some un-necessary long shots and un-balanced shots which are easy saves.They do make some great plays but this un-necessary things just spoils it a bit.So if you can improve that it will all be perfect.

N am i the only one facing this problem: In corners when i take it from the left side,The keeper always comes in front in the hope of taking the ball but just stands there and my striker shoots it in to score a goal.This happened in 6 corners for me and only from the left side,The right side corners are normal.So is it a glitch or am i too good from corners from the left :junior:?

Dude after getting used to the patch i am easily scoring 4 goals in 16 mins matches without much effort and the CPU is not challenging any more..Hopefully the legendary difficulty will change things.

well at least it is on the right track. I'm enjoying it much more myself.

I'm going to push the shooting as far as I can take it until it is realistically the most challenging, yet believable. I will reduce goals through a more unforgiving mechanic, but not like before.

The defence will hold off more, thus harder to break through. I may add in some extra pressure for them when they want to press you...might even catch you off guard! But this may or may not make it, depends if it helps or not.

Free-kicks and ball physics will have some work, goalkeeper tuning also.

Hey NK, the CPU attack is still too harmless for me. And I've been playing 12 Min matches and stuffing teams 11-1 and 6-0 and so on.

Dude plz dont mess with the shooting..Its perfect..If you want just make taking and scoring by long shots when in a good position a tad easier thats it.

And your latest patch is ment for Legendary difficulty.Man i had so much fun and i just fell in love with the CPU attacking moves.

Still in a 16 mins match i defeated them 3-0.

Just solve that attacking issue with the CPU strikers that i mentioned in my previous post :junior:

Plz dont mess with the shooting :corn:

N thanx for the legendary unlocker eventhough i lost all my previous record :taz:

Dint know would lose my previous record otherwise would have copied it...My fault :taz:
