NK FOOTBALL © - Realism at your fingertips!

nickclubman

Starting XI
V5 is aimed at FIFA fans, those who enjoy FIFA 06 to begin with but became too good at it. It's not aimed at a select few here who want FIFA 06 to play like 'balloon ball' or something, FIFA is made to be a game with pace and quite frankly, the updates available lack pace, and I find it pretty boring. so I take back what I said about creating something slower, I think football should be exciting, quick and full of action! the difficulty of the update will be enhanced greatly for the next release.

PES5 is different, the game is designed around a slower-paced game and the situations, realism, player speeds and EVERYTHING runs towards a slower based game. FIFA is not, so when you go and stick low ball gravity on the ball when the players' are running around like crazy, it all looks a bit odd.

Now anyone who hasn't gotten too used to slower ball physics can see that V5 physics are actually pretty good! However, at times the ball is a little too heavy and this will be worked on.

Keep playing,
NK.

You are not a gentleman NK and you should moderate your reaction:

Unuseful to say how did you react after Biggy's gameplay realization (who used credits, anyway).

Come on Ockham give the guy a break maybe he did discover the intensity file on his own even though u may be the first one to find it.everybody cant go thru every thread in this forum, i know exactly how it feels when someone calls u a cheat after putting in hours of hard work, some months ago some jerk made similar insinuations against me regarding the controller settings in the devdata file, so please give him the benefit of doubt.

Dude take a walk...your whining is getting us sick...and then you have the balls to rip NK's effort....BTW - your CEP with it's 80's music and movie lines ...is quite annoying....

If I find a way to slow the game down and keep it at a good pace, then I will do so. Otherwise it'll stay where FIFA is designed, created and coded...a faster paced football game.

Ehehe 80's music? Where is this from? :D
The problem with intensty.txt is not really concerning me but the ones who discovered and explained this: Rinaldo and Fifaccitiu, is kind to write a line in the readmes when u use something of another author. It's self-evident that posting the explanation on intensty in previous NK thread I agreed for first to use it: would be kind if, as Biggy did, NK just recognizes what is taken from who. The other things are unuseful spam.

Or do we have to remind which reaction NK showed when Biggy used something NK discovered (even giving credits to him)? I think it's not necessary, just put a credit to Fifaccitiu.

yes Ockham, it seems that Fifaccitiu got there before I did, so I guess I'm nothing special here. But whatever files fifaccitiu released if any regarding the 'intensty' file, I haven't used them, nor taken anything from his code in whatever intensty files he might've made.

If my own find has already been found and crediting that person for finding it before me is something I have to do, then I will add it into v6 :)

I don't want to seem like some guy trying to make out 'I'm the one who found it first', even if I might've thought that for a bit (hence all the stuff I did for the file in the install!! video, etc) So again, if crediting the dude who found it first will please everyone then I have no problem there. Why would I? It's not like I'm not aloud to try and create my own, I'd only be pissed if I took his files and changed it about, something I can never do because I'm to proud of my own efforts!!!

As for my next update, I want to have a little rant!

Ball physics are major improved. Ball is heavy, but hangs in the air and bounces realistically. The ball doesn't fall soft, it FALLS like a ball, but it can stay in the air for longer. That is realism I think. If you do a lower lob with dip on the ball it'll go up and come down faster then a high lob, which is the idea of that type of lob, to get it quickly to your team mate. Updates so far leave the ball floating around so a defender can get it easy! realistic? nope...harder to pass the ball around? Yes. but for the right reasons? nope!

= false. If an update is difficult and shows realistic aspects, then that is cool. but when an update becomes difficult for the wrong reasons;

-super goalkeeper
- slow ball.
-sluggish players'

then what do you expect?!?! I could make an update like that in 5 minutes with an attack that is crazy and defending that is difficult, with a challenging keeper, my god...but it won't be balanced and it won't be difficult for the right reasons! V5 might be easier, it might have faster ball physics and pace, but the gameplay is far more 'complete'. Beating the keeper is much more accurate, it's just a shame that breaking the defence for some of you is too easy.

I don't believe that any update has got the physics right so far. PES5 is good, but Konami know their sh!t all too well now!

sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings. It's not like I'm saying I've got it all right and you're wrong. I don't even think my updates are what they could be. I need to apply more time into it.

Hi Nick...
Just a few lines to say that you cannot please everyone...so do what you feel is good, don't listen too much to everybody...go your way...I know you and appreciate your work since 2002 . You've got a style, stay with it.
Bringing out a new version every week or so won't be the solution I think.
You will end up in confusion
What is really realism ? fifa or pes will always be games , not reality.
For me, as long as I can feel the difference between a very good team ( or player ) and a less skilled one , this is realism.

I know man, my style is to make something that feels 'complete', or at least try to, even if I can't please everyone, it still has that 'style'.

games! that is the correct word, 'game'. As long as you enjoy playing it, you keep playing :) And if you become addicted...then brilliant!

And to Ockham; No problem bud, I will try my best to make the magic happen.

BETA V6 - results

Here are my results after a world class 16 min match using a beta v6. I intend on making it even harder to score so matches can be played for longer.

One of the aspects v6 will aim for is longer games, realistic scores. I lost 2-0.

BETA V6 - results

New results, 16 min match. World class. Match is becoming much tighter and difficult. Beating the goalkeeper requires more skill, CPU is highly skilled and better on the attack and defending is much tighter. Player skills are showing through with pace. Ball physics are being tuned for game-speed. V6 so far is creating a game with pace and full of excitment and chances on goal.

NEWS: Expect a new-look for the update come V6 release.

BETA V6 - Results

Right well first of all, thanks for all the feedback on V5. One of the main areas I have worked on with V6 so far is the difficulty. The most common response I have had on here so far is that 'V5 is too easy'. So I have kept the same 'feel' as V5, the open play, the ability to run past defenders...but there is a but and a BIG BUT! the defence are so much aware and quicker that even if you can skip past a defender or two, the space given to you once you're close to goal is very little and oportunities to pass the ball into open space are minimal. In fact I did do a great throughball and end up 1-on-1 with Arsenals keeper, but he ran out to strip the ball from Ronaldo's feet. Of course this is early days and I am only going to make it more difficult to play. Even the CPU has less shots on goal, although their accuracy was spot on (this will be tweaked), they only managed one goal when a shot from far out caught the keeper off guard and his dive wasn't as clean, leaving the ball to hit the post of the save and come out to Henry who placed it passed him. I was trying so hard too. This is another key area. I don't want to be testing this update with an half-hearted attempt just to get some 'good looking results' for you guys, to make out this game is getting harder to play. If I'm going to make V6 it is going to be done properly. These results are as good as I could get with my latest BETA. there's still so much to be done. Check them out the results below;

Are you sure it is v2? the ball physics in v2 were said to be too floaty. I do recall v3 been the one everyone enjoyed and the one Biggy used for his first release, you can even see in v2.5 the same layout as my v3. Even variables that don't work are in there!

So I'm not sure about it been v2, but either way V6 is playing better than V5. Much more realistic ball physics and much more difficult.

Ricflair, after a few more games on v5 what is your opinion now? :)
Thanks,
NK.

There may be a V6 beta released later on, but only to a handful of testers. I'm still getting 'thank you' e-mails for V5! :)

If you would like to become a beta tester then PM me your details and I will sort something out.
Cheers,
NK.

V6 - BETA: Results

CPU vs CPU match results. Ac Milan beats Barca 3-0. Great match to watch! Fun, and full of entertainment. Shots almost going in, but something happening to stop them. Quite a diverse match.

I've never seen a match played like this was. 16 minutes, world class.

new results.

New results. I lost 2-1 in a 16 min battle against a world class arsenal. I managed to score a wonderful scorcher with Ronaldo, but that was mainly because Arsenal got a player sent off and left open a gap when ronaldo created a great run and was hacked down just before he was 1-on-1.

You'll notice that fouls are becoming much more common. Beating the keeper is much harder than V5, especially breaking the defence.
