no pc demo coming out said by konami

If there is no demo i'll probably buy it to give them the benefit of doubt.

However, if it's not up to my expectations, especially online, it will be heading back for a refund.

I certainly wouldn't waste time to download it.

good idea, i wish you good luck with fifa 07 :ewan:

demo or no demo, what's the problem? pes6 will be great.

I'm not waiting for another sh*te ps2 port, and if they don't release a pc demo it probably s*cks, plus the fact they still have the crappy old ML format makes me cry, so much potential in this game :nape:

You know all the posts about hating konami or nokami for that matter, will go straight out of the window when it is finally released. Why ? , because it's konami. Whether it's on the pc or 360 or even on the ps2 you know what you are getting with pes\winning eleven.
And that is the most realistic soccer game going. As for comparing it with the likes of fifa, yes graphically it's a little better and it's got miles better sound.
But now with next gen technology it's now going to be on an even par with fifa, but gameplay wise pes is still quite a long way ahead of fifa.(in my view)
Please don't think i am knocking fifa 07 because i am not, that particular game in the fifa series is actually very very good. I would say the best so far in the fifa games.
I for one will actually be buying both.....probably. It's just in the past with the fifa games you don't really discover it's faults until really after prolonged gameplay time. But i am keeping my fingers crossed on that one.
As for konami not releasing a pc demo of pro 6, well i would not look to deeply into that. The full game will be released in about 4 weeks anyway, and as far as i heard i thought the pc version was not going to be next gen until 2007.

It should be Next Gen for the PC ...
..Konami have never been any good at leveling the playing fields regards to graphics...I mean the top resolution on PES 5 is 1280 x 1024... that is not good at all..especially if you have a middle to high spec computer and if you dont have a middle to high spec comp then you turn the settings down.

Most computers and graphics cards nowadays can easily handle PES.so it really should be NEXT GEN NOW :)

A lot of you might think FIFA is crap but look what they did this year, a realistic handball system, dynamic weather, improved (but still behind Konami) gameplay, etc. At least EA listened to the most common complaints, Konami haven't listened to one single thing we complained about last year.

Sorry Wolf but fifa is **** compared to Pes. I played Fifa07 for 2 days and it sux compared to pes5.Fifa have some good points like dynamic weather, great comm, but gameplay sux. The movement just sux.

But i agree with you that Konami become careless.

How can anyone judge PES6, if noone has actually even played it, yet!?!? WE/PES has been the best footie game for many years now. I don't think this year will be any different.

On another note, the official next gen version won't be ready until next year. The version 360 owners are getting in Europe is just a touched up port from what I understand.

I'm not sure I belive what that person told you about the PES6 demo. I will still download pes6 and see how it plays and then maybe buy it for online play.

Only thing i hope is for it to have a long playability value

Next Gen version for the PC , I hope not ! Not if its going to be anything like the FIFA game. The graphics in that , player lighting motion blur and what not are Im sure tha cause of the Frame rate problem on the PC versions ...

If Konami release a port of the xbox360 version to PC then unlless you have a HIGH end PC and I mean the very top card processor and high memory, then I think the game will struggle on anything other than a TOP PC.. Just look at Company of Heros, my Rig would be down to single frame rates on high res and other top options , and only into the 20 to 30 FPS on MED settings as one site tested the game on the top 6 or 7 ATI and Nvidia cards my GF6600GT was one of the cards tested..

Porting over or building a next gen game, would need the top PC to run it bells and whistles , I am sure most gamers have MED rigs ..

Even if there was a demo, what difference would it make anyway? It won't necessarily mean that it would be a preview to the full version. The PES5 demo was nothing like the final release.

So, is the PC version NOT going to be next gen?!

Somebody PLEASE tell me that I'm not going to have to buy an X-Box.............and what's all this PS2 business, I thought PES6 was X-Box only?!

deKerf

Well you thought wrong HaterNob. It's coming out for PS2, PSP, Xbox 360 and PC according to PESInsight.com.

It was also mentioned in the X06 Gamespot Impressions article that the 360 version will look the best of the bunch. Now that most likely means that the PC version will look like the PS2 version as has been the case in past years though nothing is certain. Which brings up the seemingly eternal issue of Konami's horrendous communication with its customers, particularly it's PC customers, and this whole demo business is just the latest example of their incompetance in this area.

I like when people complains with false argument.
no demo ? if u really want to try before buy, i think everyone know how to... and last year, some people complaigned about difference demo/game ...

Wolf: auto-sidestep is no more in PES6. Fault every 30 sec ? when i see w9LE, i hope PES6 will be the same.

and really, you are saying Konami is not listening to players. But who made a wishlist, sent to konami and signed by a consequent number of player ? i haven't heard anything about that. (maybe i'm wrong, but prove me ;)

maybe there'll be demo AFTER the release of full version?

There is no way that can happen. People will then just download the full version rather than the demo.

I think Konami are just too sure of themselves because they have the better football video game as well as a big and faithful fan base. They could change their mind tomorrow and announce that the game will only be released in January and most people will still accept it. That`s just the way of the world.
On the other hand, if I were konami I would be a little more careful not to hurt fans feelings because Fifa is not really that horrible nor that far behind anymore. I mean we all love to look down on Fifa, but let`s face it and let`s speak the truth for once. Fifa HAS been improving A LOT lately, and if it keeps improving at this same pace it just might catch up with PES some day. Remember the story of the race between the overconfident fast rabbit and the slow but hard working turtle. Does that ring any bells?
That`s also the way of the world.
