Indeed, Gooner until I die. I must admit, ManU deserved to win. One thing I have noticed is that every match Hoyte has played in, we are ****e.

You can't blame Hoyte man. Gallas and Toure were absolute cack as well. Gallas scored another own goal remember. Toure had a bad time at the ACN and he played the same yesterday, absolute pants. Fabregas didn't give a damn for the whole game. He never chased anything at all. Wenger put Eduardo on the left, and then the right wings. WTF was that all about, because Bendtner is not anywhere good enough to be your main striker either.

The subs were too little too late, and Wenger needn't have bothered because it was all over by then.

Then the whole team lost the plot. Ade's diving bought back memories of the Arsenal that I remember, and then we saw the petulance and off the ball nastiness of a team that could of had 3 players red carded if the ref had not of been so hopeless.

I think you lot were lucky that it wasn't more than 4 goals scored. As a fan, if I had travelled all the way to Manc Land and watched my team play like that, I would be fuming at my team but mostly at the manager.

Arsenal could still finish this season empty handed. Then how smart will Wenger look? He says that he hasn't got the players to compete in too many tournaments so he has to decide which ones are more important. Very poor excuse for an EPL highroller. That is a Coca Cola League manager's excuse. We all know what the season involves and a wise coach, backed by a club that cares, should guarantee that there ARE enough players to compete.

I'm not having a go here. This is mainly in response to listening to goons phoning into the radio stations today, either very angry or showing stupid blind loyalty to a manager and a team that humiliated them yesterday. Sure, I personally enjoyed the game, but you guys need to apportion the blame where it is due, and not at the feet of the only Englishman playing against Man U, however crap he might be.

I thought Gallas was the worst of the lot, actually rather than Hoyte or Traore or anybody. He failed to mark out Rooney on first goal, he scored an own goal on second, he misstimed his header when trying to clear the ball for Nani's 3rd goal. And the number of times Rooney got in behind him was unbelivable.

Thankfully I wasn't able to see the game, but supposedly we created no chances and got completely owned.
Oh well, I care more that we lost to our arch rival than we got knocked out of the FA Cup. Nevertheless, this and all the injuries don't exactly make me feel confident about the Milan match. We're certainly vulnerable but I pray that Milan won't be at their best either.

Actually Hoyte was on Rooney for that goal. But it doesnt matter cus Gallas was crap that game too.

ps- Lets not forget this is the same Arsenal side that did the double over the champs last season. So its not like we are a weaker side.

0-0 Final
Well both teams finishing, especially us though, just wasn't there today. Yes, the big one missed was at the end, but Eboue, Fabregas, and Edurado all had chances that on a good day would have been finished. And although Milan didn't have nearly as many chances, if Pato and Kaka were more sharp in front of net they could have scored as well.
Obviously injuries will be key before the second leg and I pray Van Persie will be back, however even if he is, I'm still not sure if he should start at the San Siro because Eduardo is such a better player on the road due to the space that he usually gets. I could list a lot more ifs and buts, but the one thing that is for sure is that we will have our work cut out for us in 13 days thanks to missed opportunities.

Not neccesserilly the worst thing ever.

If Gallas is still captain in 4 weeks then drop Toure.
They're a joke pairing. Both good players, but together they're a pisstake.
Phil's never looked so good.

On another note,
Eboue makes my stomach crawl.
Something REALLY needs to be done about this guy.

we dominated milan, they just never looked dangerous, we could have sealed the game already had the players been a bit more clinical. hopefully we play the same way at the san siro.

PS the players closed down milan so quickly it was a joy to watch them rape pirlo, gattuso, pato and kaka

Fabregas shouldn't take the corners.
Good game overall. Everybody needs to learn to shoot sharper and more precisely from outside the box. It was really funny to watch Milan giving away free spaces for Fabregas/.. to shoot and they shooting as weak as a crossing in the center of the goal.

Milan was completely outclassed, they wanted to do a hold-up game, and then just throw the ball to Kaka and Pato and have them deal with it, but even that they didn't manage to do...Fabregas, Hleb and particularly Flamini totally raped Milan's midfield, and it was indeed a shame the ball just didn't want to get in...i'd rant on Ade's miss, but he had a good game :p it was awful though..but i do think Arsenal stands a chance of knocking out the current champions, and as much as i like some milan players, i do prefer Arsenal :D

Just been watching the Birmingham v Arsenal match, very late tackle from Martin Taylor on Eduardo, and from the TV camera position, well I have a high tolerance of horrible looking things but the way his leg went made me feel ill! It brought back shades of the nasty injury suffered by the unfortunate Coventry City player Dave Busst in the mid 90's.

Taylor sent off, but I really think that that is the end of Eduardo's career :(

You really hate Eboué don't ya Pede! :D

But yeah, feel really really sorry for Eduardo, just so happens to be his birthday in two days time as well, spending that in hospital with a broken leg and your football career in the balance, very sad story indeed :(

I think everyone hates Eboue Joey.

Damn shame for Eduardo though. He's an honest player, and It's awful to think that it might threaten his entire career. He's only a young fella too. Terrible shame for him.

****!! Poor Eduardo, i hope that this doesn't really ruin his career, hope he'll be back in less than a year, for both croatia and Arsenal. Get well quick Dudu!

Reminds me of the injury Diaby got about 2 years ago against Sunderland. If I remember correctly it took Diaby a year to recover from that and he's back to his best now. That'd be very optimistic to hope Eduardo could do the same, but optimistic is just about the only thing you can hope to be after an injury like that.

In terms of the game however, I have to admit I was a bit dazed and shocked after the injury, and I was just watching, so in my mind I cut some slack for how the players played. I thought they showed true character coming back from that goal down, and I know it's only Birmingham but it's never easy to play against a team that defends like that when one of your players has just sustained a horrific injury.

As for the penalty (if it was a penalty), I had never been so mad at Gallas since he's come to Arsenal for the way he reacted like such a Pussy. The captain reflects the team and if the captain cries it makes the team look like bitches. I get that he was frustrated, but you learn your lesson and move on.

shame it wasn't Eboue.

That was my first thought too I must admit.

Eduardo seems like a very decent guy though who keeps himself to himself. Hope he'll be okay in the long run.
