They're though indeed. Listen to Zakk Wylde, he uses them way too often, but certainly knows how to play 'em. Having said that, playing through active EMG pickups certainly helps.

phil, what are they? how are they different from normal harmonics and how do I do them?

Kinda hard to explain but basically you hold you're thumb real close to the edge of the pick. You hit the string with the pick and then hit it with your thumb straight after that (in one motion), then lift you're thumb quickly off the string.

what's that song that first got a clean electric playing, then this guy goes : "wooo-ooooo" and then the distortion hits. the verse are quite calm, the chours starts as the intro.

I hate it when instruments are smashed, why not give it away like Billie Joe Armstrong and inspire others and help them with instruments.

absolutely. Think about what we could do with those guitars they all trash. Sometimes I wanna send a letter to a guitarplayer that usually smahes guitars and ask if he could mail me one. But I doubt that someone would actually mail me a guitar...

i have 2 guitars and can afford another one so id prefer them to give it to someone who couldnt afford one and see how good they could become.

Why is the E-string tuned down to D when you're not even using the D?

do you guys play with capo on acoustic guitars?

I really love doing that, cause it gives songs and chords such a nice little higher tone. mmmmmmm

nothing else matters for example, when I put the capo on the 1st or 2nd fret, just sounds soooooo good.

i do play a lot of songs with a capo - i think it makes it better since there are no open strings

Well guys, I bought my first ever electric guitar today. It's a mexican Fender Stratocaster. Those American ones were a bit too expensive for my liking. It's an awesome guitar, loving it so far. Got home, played, played, played, played... I bought it with a 15 watt Line 6 Amp.
