Just to cheer up the other NHL teams.

I just read that Abramovich is very interested in buying an NHL team, it also said the the Kings were his most likely choice getting it from Uncle Phil.

I watched the overtime of the Devils game. How lucky was that Niedermayer clearance off the line. At Boston the crowd and coaches were too busy worrying about how the Red Sox were doing in the baseball rather than the hockey.

Rick Jeanneret I think is one of the best announcers in the NHL. To bad I won't be able to watch sabres games b/c Empire Sports is now on satelite.

`It just seems it's all about money down there'

Steve Stavro, the deposed emperor of the Maple Leafs, won't get to sit in those prime platinum seats at centre ice this season.

Instead, Stavro has been moved to a newly built luxury suite in the northeast corner of the Air Canada Centre.

But for Glen Barnes, Stavro's new wood-paneled digs have ruined his anticipation of the new season.

Confined to a wheelchair, Barnes had his seats where Stavro's partially-constructed box now sits.

Also now wheelchair bound people are limited to 1 guest. This is trouble for people when they try to move around the busy concorse.

I agree it's not really a good idea but these people are wheel chair bound people aren't gonna have too much of a problem. The ACC is huge, and the concourse especially is really wide, there's only congestion by the concession stands during intermissions. Otherwise, it's pretty easy to get around. Also considering that it's pretty much impossible to get tickets to a Leafs game I doubt too many people will complain.

The best commentator for hockey is definately Bob Cole with Harry Neal doing colour commentating. He's on HNIC every Saturday and is one of a few completely unbiased commentators around. Neal on the other hand is a little biased towards Toronto, i'll admit that.

Northstar, no one has mentioned it but what do you think of that lottery thing the Canucks are doing? I think it's pretty lame as the profits have to exceed 10 million for them to get a percentage(small one too). Burke just can't wait another year for the CBA to be renewed.

IMO Jim houston is the best commentator. I even thought that when he was on TSN which was several years ago.
