Actually, the best game ever would be Game 7 between the Kings and Leafs in the 1993 Conference Finals, Gretzky just completely dominated that game, never seen a player dominate a game like he did that one.

Best game ever??????
That series win is tainted because of what happend in game 6. Highway robbery at its best and there's no excuses that can shut a leaf fan up;)

Gretzky high sticked Gilmour right infront of Kerry Fraser and cut him but because it was Wayne Gretzky, Kerry Fraser kept the whistle in his ass. Gretzky goes on to score the winning goal and Fraser went on to leave his fingerprints all over the kings win. Then the kings crush the leafs with a Gretzky goal off a bank shot. Now more then 10 years after all of this Fraser admitted he ****ed up and cost the leafs the game. Damnit, that leafs team was legendary, 3 series played and 21 games total and they should've went on to kick Montreal's ass. Could've, would've, should've doesn't cut it though :(

Thank god for Leafs TV, I get to watch all of these classic games whenever the current leafs aren't playing and the offseason.:rockman:

BTW, Rony is right, best game for me is Leafs/Detroit and the leafs eliminating the red wings in joe louis with a game 7 OT winner from Borshevsky. Good times even though I was young. Another classic moment for me is Gilmour's wrap around on Curtis Joseph in 93. That was fricken awesome, I remember going insane when he tied it up with that goal.(H) :rockman:

I just found this article and I had to post it. Pretty sad but funny at the same time. Some fans take this crap too seriously. :crazyboy:

Fraser comes clean on Great missed call

By MIKE ZEISBERGER -- Toronto Sun

NEW YORK -- Shearing Kerry Fraser's well-coiffed weave with a weed whacker would be the sweetest form of revenge for some bitter Maple Leafs fans with long memories.

More than a decade after Wayne Gretzky's famous high stick into Doug Gilmour's face went unpunished by Fraser and his officiating crew, the veteran zebra still hears the occasional reminder from the odd livid Toronto supporter.

Fraser's non-call in Game 6 of the 1993 Western final between Gilmour's Leafs and Gretzky's Los Angeles Kings stung that much more when the Great One scored the winning goal in overtime. The Kings went on to win the series.

Some 10 years later, Fraser chose the night of his 1,500th career game to come clean.

"It was a missed call and it was unfortunate," Fraser, 51, admitted last night.

"I was blocked out on the play -- the replays show that -- and the linesman didn't see it either."

Hours after the non-call, some crazed zealot from the Kitchener area drove to Fraser's parent's home in Sarnia and began ramming his dad's small motorhome. Draped in just his underwear, Fraser's late father Hilton, a former pro boxer, grabbed an axe and chased the idiot down the street.

To this day, Fraser's mother keeps a whistle beside the phone at her Sarnia home. Whenever a crank caller -- often a disgruntled Leafs fan -- dials up mom's household, he/she is greeted by a deafening shrill that leaves their ear ringing.

hahaha :D I've ALWAYS hated Kerry Fraser, not just because of the Gretzky incident... he's a ****in prick and for some reason never makes the right calls during Leaf games... little redhead prissy faggot

lol. McGeough (Maggoo!) is the worst ref in the NHL though.

Stevens is a gerat hiiter. I've never seen him throw a dirty one. Sucks when guys get injured but stuff happens.

Devils won last night 6-1, ending pittsburgh unbeaten streak of like 10 games. Hopefully we can end up in 4th place, unless philly loses a couple more games, i think winning the division is out of our reach.

I was surprised because we usually score like 5 goals on Belfour in the first period.

We missed a lot of chances, Toronto capitalized on theirs. Esche let up a weak goal on Leetch. Ron Francis was invisible, i only heard Moginlys name 3 or 4 times. But the leafs pulled it off.

where the hell did that come from?

hes been nothing but great the whole year. 3rd in GAA. why dont you do a little bit more research before you make another retarded statement like that.

the only reason he has stats like that are because of Philly defense. he's a ****in joke is what he is. play him behind the Florida defense and see if he can make 50 saves a game like Luongo ;)

Starting XI
Luongo? Why would you even make that comparison. Luongo could win the Vezina this year. 95% of the starting goalies in this league couldnt do what Luogno does every night.

"Mats Sundin is a ******* joke, he hasnt won four cups like Wayne Gretzky" shut up dude.

ummm yea, bring a tent, you can sleep outside. it'll be like 80 degrees.

hahaha, you can, but you would have to wear a flyers jersey the whole time your in my house.(H)

I saw the second and third period when I got home from Univ. Brian leetch is the man, his third 3 point game since joining the leafs. Honestly, he's probably the best defencemen to play for the leafs since Salming.

I think I won the argument on who got the better deal. Leetch's talent was doing down the toilet in New York and now he's got his game back on track on a team that isn't full of idiots. The deal made perfect sense and we gave up garbage to get him.

Esche is an alright goalie, he's definately not in the elite category. The problem with these goalies for Philly is that they have no playoff success. Burke has never won a damn playoff series and he's 37. Malakhov broke his jaw last night too which sucks for Philly. Oh yeah, the leafs would've lost if it wasn't for that lame ass late season team bonding experiment by Hitchcock. They came back from their mini-holiday looking unfocused and like they weren't ready to play.

Glad to see Kaberle as a healthy scratch. He cost us the damn Boston game by playing like a pussy. He needed a wake up call and he'll get back into the line up in a few games.

Starting XI
Yea that was a hell of a third period. Flyers almost pulled it off.

I think what Clarke is hoping for, is for Esche to be the next Giguerre. When Esche is on his game, he will steal wins for us. On another note, Desjardins is coming back soon. So Malakhov's injury isnt such a huge blow, but still......it sucks. Hes a solid D back there.
