So does this now mean Michael Owen realizes how under appreciated he is in Madrid? Because if he couldnt get time before, its going to be extra hard with a crowd favorite in Raul and a Perez favorite in Robinho in front of him: with Zidane, Guti, and potentially Figo if he is still there for the upcoming season, I wouldnt expect to see Robinho placed in that left AM/winger slot just yet which leaves the forward position for Perez to showcase him. I think it could be a long season for the midget
Zidane will play as CAM and Raul as LW or CAM, so the two striker spots will be for Ronaldo, Owen and Robinho. If Owen continues scoring goals, he will earn a spot. Luxemburgo has said that all the players have to show commitment this season, and if someone isn't commit with the team, it will be bench (just like Figo
), and Raul has also state he will have to fight for a spot in the starting XI
.
so, we will start the season like this:
Beckham ----------- Raúl
--------- Zidane --------
--- Owen --- Ronaldo ---
RW: Beckham, Juanfran, Diogo (Figo
will leave)
LW: Raul, Guti, Robinho (Zidane won't play as LW because Luxa thinks he must be more close to the 2 strikers)
CAM: Zidane, Raul, Guti (kinda 4-3-3).
ST: Owen, Ronaldo, Robinho and maybe Soldado.
Owen knows that the club has been after Robinho for the past 7 months. But he has state he doesn't want to leave
.

We'll see when say Chelsea comes and bids for him, and he suddenly wants to go to England...
I mean... he wants the money, he wants to be the best player in the world... if he somehow is led to believe he can get them easier somewhere else.....
Robinho rejected offers from Juventus, Arsenal and Chelsea, because he wanted to play in Real Madrid. Luxemburgo was his coach at Santos, and Ronaldo and R. Carlos are his friends/idols :fool: .
