More than one month of drama with the player in rebelion and "depressed" for ending up paying the buy-out clause. Even Abramovich is better at negotiating.

His buy-out clause is $50 million, but Robinho and his agents will give Real Madrid 40% of his rights so it isn't really his buy-out clause.

He is over-priced for the player he is now, but in two years it will be as if we under-payed.

:rockman: Great Signing :rockman:

most ppl think he will fail because the first time they saw him was at Confed Cup, but Real Madrid has been after him since November. He was ******* great in the last months at Santos, specially in Copa Libertadores. :jap: The move he performed vs U. de Chile was fantastic (unfortunately, i couldn't find the video).

The pressure wont overtake him for many reassons:

1.- Luxa knows him very well and can transmit him stillness.
2.- He will be surrounded by great players and assistants.
3.- We wont base all our gameplay on Robinho; he will be just another piece in the machine.

and if he has that attitude towards Santos, which seems to be the club he supports, then his attitude towards Madrid can't be much better....

He refused 16 m € only for coming to Madrid. I think its a evident proof of his desire to play at Madrid and only at Madrid.

BTW we DO need him, since our main problem last year was the lack of movility in attack. :jambo:

So does this now mean Michael Owen realizes how under appreciated he is in Madrid? Because if he couldnt get time before, its going to be extra hard with a crowd favorite in Raul and a Perez favorite in Robinho in front of him: with Zidane, Guti, and potentially Figo if he is still there for the upcoming season, I wouldnt expect to see Robinho placed in that left AM/winger slot just yet which leaves the forward position for Perez to showcase him. I think it could be a long season for the midget

We'll see when say Chelsea comes and bids for him, and he suddenly wants to go to England...
I mean... he wants the money, he wants to be the best player in the world... if he somehow is led to believe he can get them easier somewhere else.....

From his Confed Cup performances I dont see what the big deal is. Hugely benefited from having Adriano, Kaka, Dinho and all the other stars around him. Hell, if i was playing with them even Id command a $5M transfer fee afterwards. I see him having a Denilson type career

Zidane will play as CAM and Raul as LW or CAM, so the two striker spots will be for Ronaldo, Owen and Robinho. If Owen continues scoring goals, he will earn a spot. Luxemburgo has said that all the players have to show commitment this season, and if someone isn't commit with the team, it will be bench (just like Figo (6) ), and Raul has also state he will have to fight for a spot in the starting XI :jambo:.

so, we will start the season like this:

Beckham ----------- Raúl
--------- Zidane --------
--- Owen --- Ronaldo ---

RW: Beckham, Juanfran, Diogo (Figo will leave)
LW: Raul, Guti, Robinho (Zidane won't play as LW because Luxa thinks he must be more close to the 2 strikers)
CAM: Zidane, Raul, Guti (kinda 4-3-3).
ST: Owen, Ronaldo, Robinho and maybe Soldado.

Owen knows that the club has been after Robinho for the past 7 months. But he has state he doesn't want to leave :jambo:.

Robinho rejected offers from Juventus, Arsenal and Chelsea, because he wanted to play in Real Madrid. Luxemburgo was his coach at Santos, and Ronaldo and R. Carlos are his friends/idols :fool: .

How the f*ck do you guys put Raul as a left winger, his career his almost finishing, you guys wanna do it fast i see... :|

Raul is not a winger, he's a forward/striker.

So, for that position, you have Raul, Owen, Ronaldo and now Robinho, four world class players for the same position, Robinho is not a left winger also, he's a forward... Now, if you guys wanna adapt him to another position, now that's other story, but this is not FM you know...

My team in FM a while ago (just for fun):

Carlos Tevez-----------------Mohamed Zidan
----------Podolski---Cavenaghi-------------

Games are not reality.

Face it, Robinho is not a priority, he can be useful and better than Owen, but if Owen is a great player already, why are you spending money on Robinho when you need better players at the back for example? Like you did with the same Owen last year when you had Moro... Bah...

Oh well... I've been wanting to say that today he does want to play for Madrid, tomorrow he may think Chelsea's the place to go, and you shouldn't expect any kind of loyalty at all... he may well do a Bosman, and not respect anything of what Madrid has done to fulfill his dream of moving to Europe...
My opinion of him has worsened a lot after his "I'm with my mind in Madrid" attitude...
still wish him luck, though

Well, he played on that position in 2000, won the Champions league and even score a goal in the final vs Valencia.

---Macca-------------Raul---
------Morientes--Anelka-----

And it wasnt a videogame as you can check.

BTW Robinho is a player that can make better the players that surround him (Ronaldo), not like Owen that have conection 0 with Ronie. It seems they play in differents teams when they play together.

Real Madrid has a verbal agreement with Robinho's agents. If Robinho doesn't end at Real Madrid, they have to pay 12m to Real Madrid (6) . Now, if Robinho wants to leave Real Madrid and move to Chelsea, we will do the best we can to get a huge amount of money from Abramovich (6)

Raul is not a winger, he's a forward/striker.

he has played as winger before. we won 2 CLs with Raul as a winger (97-98 & 99-00). and if you didn't saw Real Madrid the last matches, Raul played as CAM/LW. (C)

i don't understand all this Robinho bashing. it's because he signed with Real Madrid? because i'm pretty sure you ppl would be praising him if he would have signed with Juventus, Chelsea or Man Utd :boohoo: .

Typical envy when a player moves to Real Madrid. If he goes to their favorite teams, he is great, but if he goes to Madrid : He sucks, is a waste of money, and will fail.

 F*ck that.

Robinho will fit into our system, Raul will play as a left-mid, not winger(Luxemburgo doesn't use the wings that much) We've won with him there and he's great at that position. Robinho will start the year on the bench, but we'll have so many options offensively that we can rotate. I say, get Ramos and we'll be set totally.
