BTW, I don't like what USA Basketball is talking about, e.g. "This isn't the Dream Team, they don't represent us" "Losing to others teams is unacceptable" "We are considering not allow any NBA player to play an international game again" "That was a R.I.P. Team", etc.
I hope USA will not be so ghey next years, and all NBA Players are humans, they are beatable

first congrats Argentina and good luck in the gold medal game. I don't believe in this, "The world has caught up to the USA in basketball stuff". I think we just need a true team. we are finding out that you just can't put together a team of some of the best players in the world. Say what you want to say about a player like Stephon Marbury. This is one of the best players in the world. Same goes for Allen Iverson. However, these two have never been teammates with one another. In fact, only Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudamire are teammates in the NBA. You can't put 12 different guys together and in two weeks expect them to go out and just win the gold medal on their talent alone.
Like mentioned above, they put a team together without a true PG. Without a true center. Without a true swingman. Some say take the NBA champs of that year and put them in the Olympics. That might work. Who knows. Or maybe we should focus more on shooting than dunking in our youth system.

No offence to you but if the USA had their "top" players they will still win. Not by alot as previous years but they still would win.

True, but the USA top players didn't (want to) go, so this is the best the of the rest American players, which isn't good enough to win. So what can you do? Should the american olympic committee force them to?
you can always say if this and this go, USA will win for sure, but we have this conversation coz USA lost. I'm sure if they had won, there won't be this conversation at all.
f*ck Italy shot an amazing % of 3-pointers. I don't have the stats right now but it was simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! 
The guy who finished with 31 points shot some of the wildest 3-pointers I've seen in the past years. You don't get to see that on the NBA, that's for sure.
I don't think Italy doesn't have great players, or a great team for that matter, but - much like Argentina - they play with a lot of heart, which reflects on thei tough defence. Lithuania didn't have a chance. Will it be enough to beat Argentina? Don't think so.

Everybody shoots a 3-pointer on the NBA stars' faces, everybody does tough defence (a bit dirty here and there, though). Great attitude altogether!
Gino has to be one of the smartest players of the world. Unbelievable how he managed to get rebounds out of the american centers', how he dribbled through the whole US team... What a guy! This may prompt him into NBA legend status!
And that tall blonde achiles-look-a-like guy, man, that's one sad story... The way he plays, how he attacks the basket... Every move he makes is a statement of the Olympic spirit. The entire opposite of 'Melo Anthony.
Overall a great win, fair finalists and a bronze match to watch carefully.

Top Players?? I think you are mistaken my friend, the US is playing with their top players. Just look at their lineup: Iverson, Duncan, Marbury...I would say that these are very good players...there is no excuse, they just didn't play as a team and were beaten by the better side..
