THIS IS POSSIBLY THE BEST NEWS IN SOCCER IN AUSTRALIA IN AGES

We are actually going to play a friendly against a decent team.. and its England !! Febuary 12th to be exact at upton park ... this would be huge ! especially if we can get a fit full squad together

Kewell , Viduka , Emerton , Neill , Zane , Schwarzer , Moore , Popovic , Muscat :) , Tiatto , Lazaridis , tht would be huge ....!!

England VS Aus ... man we could start a new tradition like the ashes !! :D

Upton Park, why not Highbury, it's soon to be demolished (well the North and South stands, the East and West are listed), and before Wembley regluary hosted internationals a number of internationals were staged at Highbury, but we haven't hosted one since Autumn 1961 (4-1 vs Luxembourg WC Qualifier)

Good news, pitty the game isn't going to be held in Australia, that would be awsome:rockman: But yeah it's great news for Soccer Australia.
Anyway as the post subjuct says above did anyone see the Aussie's take on France at the MCG last year?
It was a pretty good match, 1-1, and all the top players were there and all!!! Karembu (or howeva u spell it) Barthez, Lizarazu, Wiltord, and alot of other awsome players!!
I wen t with my friend and the atmosphere was awsome, even though we got absolutley drenched by the rain, there was french fans chanting "Allez, Allez"
Any way enough of me going on about that game, the match vs the Poms should be great!

we are stuffed in the rugby at the moment .. we have half our squad carrying injuries, that cant be good .

Moore is a great defender. So are the wingbacks like Vidmar and Emerton.

Vidmar will kill Beckham. Owen is weak as crap. Scholes is a hoon, Gerrard is an idiot. Too bad Okon is crap.:f***: Kewell = captain, or Josip Skoko.

It will be a great event. Hopefully i will fly home to watch it. If i dont though i hope SBS gets live coverage of it coz they are actually in it for the game and for the fans, not just for commercials like Channel 9. But England will win.
