Great result for Marseille ! After the big disappointment against Angers in Coupe de France, Marseille won in Lille, we played well, especially Samir Nasri who's definitely a great play maker.

Taye Taiwo signed a 3 years-contract with Marseille. After some trainings with us, he convince Troussier and Diouf to sign him. He could replace Lizarazu at the left of the defense.

France papers are talking about the possible Tomasson transfer in Marseille

12/01/2005
Foot - Transferts : L'OM convoitise Tomasson

Vincent Candela and Grafite from Sao Paulo are also on the list.

MARSEILLE 2 - 0 NICE

16/01/05
Stade Vélodrome, Marseille
French Ligue 1 - Week 21
Attendance: 50,000
Referee: Mr Duhamel

Goals: Luyindula (2e et 14e) pour l'OM
Cards: Pedretti (36), Marlet (49) à l'OM ; Cobos (14), Balmont (64), Agali (75) à Nice

MARSEILLE : Barthez (cap) - Beye, Déhu, Meïté (Hemdani 83) - Sy. Ndiaye, Pedretti, Nasri, Eduardo Costa, Olembe - Marlet, Luyindula (Koke 85)

NICE: Grégorini - S. Traoré (Jarjat 90), Cobos (cap), Abardonado, Varrault (Grenet 68) - Bisconti (Jankauskas 46), Echouafni, Balmont - M. Vahirua, Roudet - Agali

Luyindula is back (H) That's the first time he scores 2 goals in the same game for Marseille. Before this game, he just scored 3 goals, now he's at 5. We scored in the first minutes after this the defense was good. We didn't lose once in the 3 last games, 7 points with especially 4 away.

Look at this player, he could be one of the greatest player in Europe in the future. Samir Nasri did a great game again yesterday, he gave an assist to Luyindula for the first goal. He plays as a real play maker, and he's just 17...

METZ 0-1 MARSEILLE

22/01/2005
Stade Saint-Symphorien, Metz
French Ligue 1 - Week 22
Attendance: 26 000
Referee: M. Ruffray

Goal: Luyindula (25e) pour l'OM
Cards: to l'OM Ferreira, Barthez ; to Metz Leca

MARSEILLE :Barthez (cap) - Ferreira (Sy. Ndiaye 60), Beye, Déhu, Ecker - Pedretti (Hemdani 90+2), Eduardo Costa, Olembe - Nasri - Marlet, Luyindula

METZ: Wimbée - Allegro (Contout 68), Borbiconi, Meniri, Pompière, Signorino (Socrier 88) - G. Leca (Obraniak 81), Proment (cap), Avezac - Tum, Gueye

Good game again, it was more difficult than the two last because Metz played fast and really well. Peguy Luyindula scored his sixth season's goal, the fourt in 4 games (H) Benoît Pedretti is more and more important in the Troussier 3-5-2, good pass quality and the Nasri's work permit him to be more and more free. The defense was solid, with a good Habib Beye and Barthez did a great game, many important saves.
Now we're at the 3rd Ligue 1 position before the terrible Lille-Lyon which will be play tomorrow.

Great game with beautiful goals, Battles is so important... Luyindula, Marlet and Cheyrou are back at their best level, it looks good for the rest of the season.

Laurent Battles scored a beautiful goal, here are all the goals of this game:

Laurent Battles scored a magnific goal again (H)
