I'm part of the large majority waiting for the 360 version... but that didn't stop me from trying out the pc demo. WOW!!! If the PC DEMO plays like this than the 360 version is going to be insane!!! Trust me being a soccer gamer I've tried to get into PES/WE but its just boring to me. This fifa 07 pc demo was more fun to me than PES 5's full game!!! There's just something about the EA FIFA atmosphere that I could never get from PES/WE. The ball physics have been greatly improved, passing is more realistic, shooting is awesome especially trying a scorcher from beyond the box. THE WHOLE DAMN GAME JUST GOT BETTER! MAN, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE 360 VERSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

um why has the pitch not being watered? it looks like its dead, also does anyone have link to controls, i havent played fifa for awhile and im not sure waht the controls are.

as for the game, it does feel a little bit better, but it still feels just like the last few of them, you never feel like you are in control, and you dont get that feeling of building play and working for things like in we, also still no tactics, no player runs, and things like that, ill think ill stick to we10

is there no way to have diffrent speeds of dribbling yet? you get into a good position and you can't kick it foward to run on to it. sigh i feel like i'm playing fifa 05 here

ffs ball the problem with fifa is still there, the ball only moves in relation to the players,it doesnt do its own thing,i just ran onto a ball that had being knocked down, but it didnt knock off me and go ahead it just went to the defender, when will ea realise the ball moves even if there isnt a player in site, there is never any crazy deflections or anything
the same problem for years
oh well lets see how 08 goes, although the ps3 winning eleven could be miles ahead again might have to wait till 2014 to see if they can catch up, considering its taking them from winning eleven 5-10 to get close, how long will it take next time

EA have openly admitted that in current gen the ball is tied in with player movement, while their brand spanking new gameplay engine for next gen has the ball as a separate entity. Ergo, what EA are actually trying to say is that if you want to upgrade your gaming experience, then upgrade your gaming console to an XBox 360.

And as for "Auto-Switching" of players, this feature can be toned down under one of the game settings.

so im going to spend $600 because ea dont know how to make games, yeah thats fair, lets hope governments don't try that sort of tatic with water or food in teh future

on that topic though, ea are allready screwed, if it takes next gen to do ball movement, what are they goign to do if konami make use of the next gen like they did the previous gen?

uninstalled, another year, another dissapointment, been playing fifa since 94 on the snes, and since 98 it has sucked, but that is probally because i also got iss pro 98 before i got fifa 99, coicendence?

but hey according to the screen as the game quits, i will be able to make my own kits, i guess that makes up for it then.

Deal with Microsoft. Xbox360 is next gen exclusive as far as WE/FIfA go until 2007.

Microsoft made a deal with EA and Konami which basically says that they can't make next gen FIFA/WE on any other platform until 2007.

The reason why EA doesn't make the PC ver same as Xbox360 because they would never profit from selling a game that only a select few people can run.

Think. It don't hurt.

Okay now, after the first impressions have worn off from the Fifa 07 demo, here is my true feelings about Fifa 07....

First off, the gameplay feels more WE/PES than Fifa.... Which is a great thing.... EA have finally gotten on the right track to great gameplay.... They are in my opinion ready with Fifa 07 to compete with WE/PES gameplays.... (Sometimes I have to remind myself I am playing Fifa). Good physics good animations great and the fluidness of the animations and the physics is great, Realistic.

The sound of everyone knows commentary is great and crowd is great. Sounds are fantastic....

Graphics, i think are good. A little over 8/10. about a 8.8/10 in my opinion.

Overall, Fifa 07 is gonna be a great game.... Actually with the demo expanders letting me adjust about anything i want, I actually Unistalled my Winning Eleven 9 and my WE9 was PATCHED TO THE MAX....

I do have a few minor complaints though.... The headers in the game, although most are pretty good, some look a little robotish.... So for the next game please make the headers just a bit more fluid and better.... and the goalkeeper THROW animations are a tad to rushed. I think they need to have the keepers pull their arm back then release, not just release....

Well their are my feelings on fifa 07 and fifa 07 as a whole. Just can not wait for the 360....

God Bless....

P.S. I was a WE9/patched fanatic until the Fifa 07 demo and their expanders came :)

Although its got someway to bettering the ball physics, gameplay and AI of Konami's Winning Eleven series, its still a massive improvement from those damn Canucks and their team at EA.

I still think there are issues over the long-ball, it seems a bit too weighted and assisted for me - and at times, it can seem a logisitcal nightmare to defend. You can't really seem to knock one right over the player's head or play it short, or even whack it off the boot and slice into the 7th tier.

Although, the scripting has been slightly toned down to acceptable levels, some of the shots on goal I have can often been quite similar. Especially if you wind one up on the angle on the weaker foot as you come inside. There is also that annoying little slice thing, that does appears random, but it is more a scripted play that doesn't often correlate to the shooting action or position of the player when he has the shot.

Its also a slight shame they couldn't have put in something akin, to 'an outside boot' shot, where the player negates a shot on his weaker foot to take it with his prefered one. Think Adriano having to manoeuvre his feet to plant one as he comes inside on his right. Again, the whole movement of the player and when and where he decides to shoot with his instep, is often not really defined given the circumstances of the play around him. Sadly the ball physics don't match this movement either.

However, these bouncing balls and movements don't detract from the overall playability of the game - something sorely lacking from Fifa for years now. Many of the scripted plays, really only seem to occour on missed chances on goal, and mostly the computer is quite inventive on its play. I've hardly scored two or more similar goals in a match I've played. Diego smacking one off the past from 30 yards, bouncing off my keeper's head and straight into the path of Klose was quite fun.

But it is a bit disheartening to see the computer and yourself being able to hit the woodwork on far too many occassion in my opinon, but I guess that's life. Its also a bit annoying that its very difficult to defend against set-pieces and against scrambles in the box, where it seems the computer AI always seems to have the advantage in terms of who its going to land to, and how badly the defensive Ai is going to get rid of the play or jostle for it whilst the ball is in the air.

In terms of player individuality, its again less toned down from the stark homogeneity that plauged previous Fifas. Bravo and Eto'o are beasts on the ball and are hard to chase down. Gudjohnsen is strong on the ball and Kaka and Scholes can smack powerful shots from distance. However, next to WE, it doesn't really hold a candle to the beautiful ipseity of its casts of pros. Its far easy to tell the Castillo's from the Ronaldinho's.

Overall, I'd say this is a fun game to play - it has its flaws, bugs and general annoying times, but its something that is worth giving a go. Still has long, long way to bettering the overall gameplay structure of WE - but not a bad effort from EA.

8/10 for me.

Erm, no they didn't. The only 'deal' that Microsoft made, was ensuring that the PS3 platform software wouldn't be available to producers at both EA and Konami in time for a next gen launch this year.

If Konami and EA wanted to rush out their PS3 beta versions and sell them - they could. There is no legally binding contract or exclusivity deal that Microsoft have purchased here - only a situation that has allowed them to add crafty spin to its European marketing sales.

But PS3 Japan launch is on time ...so *meh*. WE on PS3 will be with us in about 7 months time.

After playing about 6 hours i changed my opinion about the demo.

1. Playing one vs one against a friend.
The gemaplay is totally different, the defenders do a lot o strange things. I can't explain it more, 'cause my english is bad.

2. Playing against the com.
It's still that unrealistic fifa gameplay. To many goals, to many goals after hitting the bar or by a goalkeeper mistake.

I think it's better than Fifa 06 and WC but it's still not realistic. EA spend a lot for the physic which is better but the gameplay is the biggest poin i a football game and that's what i don't like.
