Some good at the beginning but this joke:

"When I found out that Richard Gere wasn't nominated, I said: 'Welcome to my world'"

There were some nice once though.

I liked Kirk Douglas

Zul-Aid I am not for the war......I am for my country.......but I cant stand Bush I did not vote for him and I think his brother fixed the election, but this thing......this war, it really hit home for me today, I saw the pictures of those soldiers killed and captured for the first time on the web address Rhizome posted and I remembered my brother in Law, and about another 5 close friends I have there....two of them with forward units.....and yesterday some 15 marines died, God knows how many more people are gonna die on this.........all the strategy is out the window, so is all the criticism.....like Andrien Brody said......now I'm just praying for a "swift resolution of the conflict".....I mean you know now war is real.......at least for me

Kirk Douglas was awesome. Too bad Chicago won though. :( But I didn't expect The Pianist to win all those awards either so that's good. :)

Kirk Douglas rocked!

Yeah its just what I read about your posts it would seem that your for the war - which again you would be overly critical of Moore, fans of him like myself are also too.

The person who can give a good opinion on him would be someone who doesnt know him, his views, political standpoint, and know nothing of the war.

I have read good and bad on Michael Moore (I have agreed with people who give him ****) but he is always agressive thats how he got where he is - A person who makes a point without feeling might as well say nothing.

Yes, incredibly aggresive, for example: the start of his documentary was very anti-White (so what if I do watch Oprah ;)) talking about how white people killed a whole race (the indians) because they were afraid of them and how the whites lived off the black (slaves) for decades. very interesting and he has a good point.

edit: @ pradyut: i'll post the mp3 in about 2.5 hours, i'm at school now.

I know your new here but I have been a huge fan of Michael's since the first run of the Awful truth and TV Nation (synidicated shows) and have B4C about 6 times (2 only paid for) as talking about his speech but since I finally got to see it last nite (Australian time), it was what I expected fairly from him an aggressive speech.

If you look above my sig a link to his site sits which it has since I first came here

I highly recommend "Stupid White Men" the book a classic read and watch "Roger and Me" his beginning.

Also Steve Martin said "Now Michael's teamster friends are now helping him into his limo" it wasnt teamsters it was security and Michael was kicked out of the rest of the event.

New? Aight, rookie ;) I ain't disrespecting you or anything.

But have you seen the documentary or not?

I've read Stupid White Men but not Roger and me. I will soon hopefully.

Was he really kicked out?

yeah. great work.
Try uploading the DivX file if you can :)

I just finished watching The Pianist 20 minutes ago and I have to say that I'm amazed.
I was hoping for Daniel Day-Lewis to in Best Actor but after seeing Brody tonight I must say that he's genious here. Amazing work. You feel all his pain thru the movie. All the fear and the hunger. Unbelievable and great for him that won.
An excellent choice by the Academy :rockman: :rockman: :rockman:

YES and YES
I have seen 'n' read all of his work as I have said

Personally I would recommend Awful Truth/TV Nation episodes on Kazaa really top ****

His letters after September 11th which span the first week are also good

I also have two audioclips
1) A speech @ Ralph Naders election rally in New York around Nov 2000: claiming Bush being elected would be a horrific event (sort of chilling when he says it)
2) At a book launch for SWM - also every good last for about an hour each and this one is after Afghanistan war and a prelude to Iraq but I have had it for more than a year so its a bit dated.

If anyone want any of these I'll post them on Kazaa on request: [email protected] just email me or messenger it over to you whatever is easiest.

ROGER and ME is very hard to find because its like 10 or more years old.

I have it on video, as I used exerpts from it when I was tutoring labour relations. Plus I used some stuff from The Awful Truth when tutoring on sexuality, one of his episodes had a fantastic segment on Gay rights in the US, where he takes this bus load of queens to parade on the streets of ultra-conservative towns.

What cracked me up was that one of these conservative towns was called - CUMMING. lol!
