Overall calculation

Hi guys,

I'm just working on a programm like creation master was. It will edit your career mode save, squad and database file. Here is a preview - still very work in progress but editable ...

I just found out that FIFA don't use the attrib-db... so if I calculate the overall with the attrib db for witsel I'll get a overall of 83,42 + he has 3 stars in int. rep. so he will get a +1 for that...
so my calculated overall is 84,42..ingame he has (in the newest squads file) a 85... seems like ea round up the calculated overalls.

now we have for example Marco Reus. He has (calculated with attrib db) a overall of 86,48 and 4 stars of int. rep (+2 ovr)... so he has a ovr of 88,48... BUT his overall ingame is a 88... so EA didn't rounded up... they rounded down..

Does anybody know why? How they calculate the overall?

We talked about it and he noticed the same issue. He has no idea why.

Can you check if the OVR for players with 4 or 5 stars of intl. rep are always rounded down and the OVR for players with 1, 2 or 3 stars of intl. rep. are always rounded up? Last year I have noticed that when I tried to edit the player stats with CGFE18 editor.

EDIT: Also, I think that the International Reputation is not used in OVR calculation. I think that the value "modifier" is used instead. Check Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for example: they have 5 stars of international reputation, but the OVR of Messi gets a +2 (+1 and +1 for modifier value) (https://sofifa.com/player/158023/lionel-messi/?hl=es-ES) while the OVR of Cristiano Ronaldo gets a +3 (+1 and +2 for modifier value) (https://sofifa.com/player/20801/c-ronaldo-dos-santos-aveiro/?hl=es-ES)

What do you mean with "modifier value"? Is it displayed on sofifa? Maybe I'm blind... I can't find it..

Anyway I'll take it from the database and test it..

There's a column in players table called "modifier". I think it's used to modify the OVR instead of the international reputation value, since FIFA 17 I guess.

Sorry for the delay. I was busy. Players like Reus have the real overall now!!
But there still some players with wrong ovr. 2 examples with 3 int. rep... Frankie de Jong (real ovr = 84) and Axel Witsel (real ovr = 85)
Witsel:
ovr for pos = 83,42..
rounded up because of 3 int rep. = 84
+ modifier = 2 = 86 ovr ... 1 to much..

but de Jong:
ovr for pos = 82,5
rounded up because of 3 int. rep. = 83
+ modifier = 1 = 84 = real ovr...

Maybe if the ovr for pos is gets rounded up if its more then XX,49 and round down if its XX,49 or less.

The int. rep. is not necessary. All overall values for the pos get rounded up if > 0,49 otherwise rounded down + modifer value.

Great! Hope this helps to make a more accurate GUI DB Editor, which is very necessary since Frosty doesn't have any.
