first of all, i do feel bad for owen. he seems like a genuinely good guy. it's a shame his world cup ended this way. i hope for the best for him. i read it was his acl...if so, 5 months is generous.

and about ronaldo, he was definitely unlucky. when his knee went out and on his first game back, his knee goes out again (i don't remember if it was the same knee), that's unlucky. but he's redeemed himself at least in 2002 world cup. but the physical and mental toll it takes to come back from an injury like that...i give him props for that.

EDIT: it's weird because yesterday i was reading a soccer magazine, and there was a newcastle united ad with a picture of michael owen. the add said something like "please bring him back in one piece." tough...

firstly, id like to wish owen and myself good luck. i tore my acl a little over a month ago and i was quoted 7-9 months out. owen being out for 5 months AT LEAST, in fact id say hes out for 6 months minimum. this is one of the worst knee injuries and definitely most grueling id say. the ****ty part is that for both of us it happens at the worst time. owen going into next stage of world cup, me getting soccer scholasrship in college and now not being abel to use it (at first)... this really sux

secondly, id say now we will start playing a 4-5-1 with hargreaves in and rooney up front with crouch on the bench, anyone disagree?

sorry to hear that...

a friend of mine in college tore his acl playing basketball, and it took him about 6-7 months to recover. i remember him saying the rehab was the worst part. but i wish you the best of luck too.

where are you going to college?

has he fully recovered yet? my main concern is getting back to 100% how i used to be. believe me ill do anything i can at rehab. although i must admit i also heard its gonna be hell

oh yea...it was a few years ago. after about 6 months, he was back to full speed.

EDIT: at first, i remember he was really conscious about his knee when he was playing basketball. he wasn't too confident his knee could take it. but after that mental block, he was good as new.
