I read somewhere Arsene saying Jose will probably be fit for Tuesday. If he isn't then I honestly hope van Persie gets some play time, give Dennis some rest as well.

There's now another reason to give van Persie playing time and that is his last-minute goal against Southampton. Still, I doubt he will start because Pires may well do so as he's been on the bench the last two league games.

If Dennis doesnt perform 1st half than he should be subbed by VanP or Reyes........

Besides the assist to Henry against Southampton I thought Bergy was crap the entire game......This of course compared to the caliber we are used to seeing from him.......Maybe he needs a rest he is the oldest forward on the team you know and at that age the explosiveness is somewhat loss. Of course we need Bergy for the freakin OUTOFTHISWORLD talent that he brings to the team.

Reyes fit but Edu joins Campbell on injured list

Jose Antonio Reyes is expected to be fit for the Champions League tie with Panathinaikos on Tuesday night but Edu will be missing.

Both players were substituted just after the hour-mark in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Southampton. Ironically it was the Spanish striker who looked in pain when he went off. He was walking gingerly with his arm in a sling. Reyes is expected to be fit despite carrying a hand injury but Edu is out with a calf problem. Sol Campbell is still sidelined with the same sort of injury.

There is even worse news for Arsenal’s other Brazilian midfielder. Gilberto has already been out six weeks with an injury to one of his vertebrae. He is expected to take another six weeks to return to full fitness.

“Reyes still has a small problem with his hand but he should be ok,” said Arsene Wenger at this afternoon’s pre-match press conference. “Edu has a kick on his calf and it will be two or three days for him.

“Sol Campbell sees a specialist today to see if we can push him on or not. He will certainly be out until the weekend and the earliest he will be back is Tottenham.

“Gilberto is six weeks out now and when he comes back he will need an another six weeks. So it will not be before three months in total.”

There are also further injuries to Jermaine Pennant (hamstring) and Gael Clichy (ankle).

OMG! Here in Canada, this game will be shown instead of Barcelona vs Milan (will be shown later, 12 at night)!!! :o :( Hopefully Arsenal will lose just for the hell of it.
