[P+R] CHRYSTAL Palace vs Arsenal.

Not good. As the game went on you could see that "it wasn't there" today offensively, and the defence looked weak except for Toure.

Palace did well, they managed to slow the pace of Arsenal's passing and their defence was well organized. Had Arsenal scored early on it would have made it tough for them, but as this didn't happen Arsenal had to keep pushing forward and this created space for Palace to counter. A good gameplan by the manager Dowie which was executed to perfection.

Why not start van Persie to change something and shake the team up a bit? The starting team is lacking decisiveness and confidence, if Robin was to come in and do well it would be an extra boost for the rest of the team, too.

Reyes was poorer than that 6 i'm afraid. Another disappointing draw and another lead given up, we should be looking at why our defence is this leaky,even with campbell.

God, my ratings:

Jens: 5. Should have done better with the Palace goal, imo.

Lauren: 7. Worked his arse off, was quite a handful.

Kolo: 8. Superb.

Cygan: 7. Decent, composed defending from Pascal. Tricked a couple of times, recovered well.

Ash: 6.5. All over the place, should have done better with their goal, though.

Pires: 1. Where the fuck are you, Bob?

Vieira: 3. Apart from a few tackles, piss poor.

Cesc: 7. Brilliant passing, looked like one of the few players who actually wanted to win. Good controlled shot saved too.

Fred: 7. Worked hard, all over the place.

Thierry: 6. Not bad. Didn't do much wrong but his runs weren't as penetrating today, probably due to the fact CP had 11 players in their own half.

Jose: 3. Another player missing in action. Jose oh Jose, where for art thou?

Dennis: 4. Not enough time to do anything, decent crossing and did well to at least get a shot on target.

van Persie: 5. Came on and caused some trouble, deserves a God damn start.

Flamini: Not enough time to judge.

COME ON ARSENAL!

Hey yo how can u give Pires a 1.......Sure he didnt play good offensively, but I counted at least 5 times he came back and made some tackles.......now that is strange from pires

but yea he pretty much sucked

Lauren: 8 saved us in the late stages with a crutial intercept recover well like toure. Good show today and is now proving his worth

Kolo: 8. made some mistakes but recoverd brilliantly

Cygan: 7. Ok had a **** last ten minutes though. I not changin my mind on him . He must go

Ash: 5: having a bad run of matches he needs to pick up, palace were gettin though too easily on the left

Pires: 3 Had a decent start, apart from that nothing

Vieira: 2: never got in the game a all

Cesc 8 my man of the match for us worked hard.

Fred: 8 Good fantastic 1-2 for the goal and worked all game.

Thierry: 6 ok well taken goal, did give palace an easy ride but he wern't as good as we now he can be

Jose: 2: got worse as the game went on, gave the ball away very easily not good

Dennis: 4. came on late in the game and played on the wing? Why hes no winger????

van Persie: 6: even in the short time he was on he show what a promising player he is. worked a very good chance when he came on, he deserves a start

Flamini: Nothing really just a few passes, came on too late to make an impact

It seems were going though a bad patch its no crisis were just not playin like we should be consistently though the whole game

Plus we need a better defence we didnt look comfotable at all

As for palace there stayin up!! and no im not just sayin that cuz they drew they did a class today well worked goal and did well on the counter

VERy dissapointing from paddy - cesc was making all the correct passes etc (except for here and there) whil EVERY TIME vieira got the ball he either lost it, or fell down as if he had to have a free kick (including their goal). i felt he should have come off for flamini instead of fabregas

Lakis was a good pickup by Palace... assisted on the goal and could have/should have won it with a great chance.
