One more time. PES and WE6 are not good enough to achieve GOD status. It's got a market.. but it's not that good of a game. And it would need a complete reworking to become one. I'd look at FIFA becoming an excellent game next year. It's good now. I'd look at PES3 as being nearly identical to 2, which is nearly identical to PES. So there!

Ask the person who started the thread why they brought it up and then find a thread that I've started here about FIFA vs PES or about PES being greater than FIFA and then you can call me a Hypocrite.

I don't come here to preach how great my game is, the game speaks for itself, that doesn't mean if someone says somthing about it, I won't speak my mind.

I think you are the one giving PES/WE God status, certainly I haven't refered to either game as deity. I'll I've said is that gameplay wise, FIFA needs to do some work. But as you've talked about, player models and other grafx elements are more important to you, you know what, that is fine too. We all play for different reasons.

I'm not blinded by hate at all. My first posts in here were in the PES forum. I was curious about the differences in PES and WE6. I got them both. I said they were more realistic than FIFA right now. But I also said they annoyed the hell out of me. Look at the game. Do the players only run in 8 directions? Unlike you, I won't praise a game until it's great. PES is not great. It's good. But so is FIFA.

So if your game is so great, and can speak for itself... why are you posting here? Anytime someone posts "so is FIFA good?" you guys are right there "No it's not! PES is way better!" That's why I call you guys the Konami Kult (tm). You just never shut up. If PES had the same slickness as NOLF2, Mafia, etc. I'd support you. Buut.. once again... PES isn't that good. And your main arguements with most people is "try it until you like it." Well... you haven't even tried the real FIFA game. Even if it was a marvel... tremendous game... your need to be hardcore and a real footballer will cause you to cast FIFA as being crap.

So... if you feel the need to praise PES... get out of here. C'mon.. shoo! You said it yourself that the game speaks for itself. WE6 and PES are sitting right here. I don't hear them. I think maybe you chosen few should stop recruiting in the FIFA forum and just be happy patting each other in the backs.

As I have said before I think that both FIFA and PES have merits and I think that both will be worth buying for different reasons.

Actually i doubt too you've played fifa2003 demo when you said WE player model better than fifa 2003.

WE have better gameplay than fifa, is very acceptable. WE have better animation can be accepted too. Fifa 2003 have some new very cool animation and WE have better animation in some movement.

But if you said WE have better player model than FIFA???
C'mon!! open your eyes. I really hate to see when i have celebration after score and camera view close to my player face when he pose the celebration.
It's really horrible. Its like they all using a same mask so their face looks like statue and have expresion like zombie. I play WE6 using ePSXe. I don't know if in PS2 version they already improve this.

I know player face not so important in the game and it just can be seen in some off play scene like goal celebration or after foul when camera view pretty close to the player.
But we are talking about player model right???

I'm npt going to get into the whole PES versus FIFA player models thing, but if you go over to www.issextreme.com and look and the screenshots of player faces for PES2 on PS2 I think that you will agree that there is a massive difference between the PS2 version of PES2 ( or winning eleven 6 ) and the psx versions of the konami games as far as the quality of player faces goes.

comeon, you're comparing a PS1 game to a next generation computer game, get WE6 on the PS2 and then come back to talk.

now here's a Fifa screen, notice the big head, disproportional body and robotic features? Notice how nobody else on the field is looking at the ball? Where are they looking?

now look at the proportions, the fluid body positions and the fact that the defenders are reacting like real footballers. Looking at the ball, positioned realistically etc.

It's a world of difference. EA has A LOT of catching up to do.

when the full version of fifa 2003 comes out u'll see that the only advantage of PES will be the gameplay, wich has alwas been better than fifa. But fifa 2003 will have a lot of cool new feutures, like virtual silence on away goals, true crowd songs, "Now you too must endure the pressure of playing in Galatasary’s famous stadium of hell" sais at the oficial site, great AI "Face the onslaught of an opposing team 1-0 down in the 80th minute as they throw all their players upfront", 175 licensed entities – 16 leagues, 450 teams, 10,000 players, real referees and a lot of other cool feutures! and the graphics with a latest technology video card will be better than PES! But still for me PES will be a better game cause gameplay matters more than anything but all these feutures should be marked!!!

*snort* these are the examples you brought to show how good PES's graphics are? These are the screenshots I was going to use to show how horrible it is. LOOK at the people. They are not human. Look at Scholes' upper arm. It's as long as his torso. And just look how freakin' cheap the whole thing looks. So.. to show me how bad the graphics are in 2003 you show a World Cup Giggs? Nice. I can see you going through screenshots looking for that perfect one to say how bad FIFA's graphics are... and you come up with that. Great.

But did I say they were great myself? No. I said they have the potential to be great. Konami's do not. And as it stands RIGHT NOW. I can look at a FIFA shot and see people. I look at a PES shot and it looks like origami or not even that 3 demensional.

As for pointing out my discrepencies between "not that good" and "good" It's really the same thing. It's good... but not that good. You dig?

But why are you here? Why are you going through my posts finding the stupidest little details like a pack of lawyers? Are you not confident enough in your game that you have to keep retaliating with someone who... oh let's see... likes FIFA better than PES and thinks it has more of a future? Not even saying FIFA's great. Just that it's good. Hey. I don't want to post anymore repeating myself time and time again. I'm not going into your forum saying PES is ****. OK the look of a game is personal and only so much can be judged from screenshots at ground level (PES still looks great to me), its how convincing the game looks and plays from the sideline cam that matters.

What exactly is your problem with Japan??
How would it sound if I said FIFA 2003's animation looks like the usual canadian trash?? The word canadian is completely irrelevant to the topic but the nationality of the developers seems pretty important to you.

How can you compare a football game to NOLF or Mafia??? They are narrative driven full of scripted events where as football is the complete opposite...

Why do PES players visit these forums? Simply because these are the forums where we first heard about KCETs games. Personally I was unhappy with the then current version of FIFA and thought it was the only decent PC football game available, but then some one pointed out that there was a game called ISS PE that could be played through emulators.
This is how PES has become as successful as it has, word of mouth advertising. This is also the reason for FIFA finally taking a step in the right direction, please excuse me for not licking EA's boots as it should have happened 4 years ago, they have finally realised that people become immune to publicity. Anyway that is the why.

No, you don't have to try PES until you like it...its intuitive to anyone who knows the simple tactics of football. Don't try and turn through players, play the way you are facing, play old English long ball if you've got shearer up front, through balls if Owens on your team etc etc

Anyway this Konami Kult sounds good to me, any decent photoshoppers here that could make us a customisable sig image
