PES6 ATi Card

Vertical sync should always be set to "always on" unless you like tearing and vertical lines on the screen. Also with PES you should force the monitor refresh to 60Hz. Best way to do that is with ATI Tray Tools. What I do for my ATI card (9800 Pro) is just install the drivers from ATI's site without the catalyst control panel which is crap and forces you to install .NET which is yet still more uneeded crap. Instead, just install the driver alone and then you can use ATI Tray Tools to change any driver settings along with having a bunch of tweaks and features like game profiles that the ATI control panel doesn't have.

Anyways, I don't play the PC version anymore. I have a PS2->USB adapter and the game just doesn't play right on it. Didn't really play right on PES5 either. PES4 was perfect though at that time I was using PS1 controllers. Busted those old controllers though and now I can't find anymore in any of the shops near me. Tried the Logitech Rumblepad controllers but the d-pads on those are horrible in comparison to the PS2 controllers so enough of that. Imported the PS2 version of PES6 to play on my modded PS2 and its fricken perfect. The game is fun again. Konami doesn't give a **** about PC users, never going back! Can't wait for the PS3 version which should be the true next-gen version.

I always had that vertical line, tried to turn that off and on and nothing, no worries i have that since pes4 and it didnt bother me, after 1 billion matches i kinda ignore it.

I do use a PS2 controller and a USB adapter for pc and it works fine.

That's all fine and well with an LCD screen, but with CRT I'd rather have vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines all over the screen than torture my eyes with a 60Hz refresh rate. If you'd like to be able to see anything without a pair of massive glasses by the age of 40, I would never suggest forcing 60Hz on CRT screens.

Inappropriate lodcfg settings perhaps? I.e lod levels set too high?

If not, post this in the kitserver thread and be sure to provide a detailed description of your problem. You might get it fixed.

Greetings fellow gamers. Bought PES6 today for my PC with ATI Radeon x1300-series card. After installing and trying for the first time - my moods sank rapidly when I noticed the same stuttering problems described here - when trying the Training- and Match modes.

However ! I tried the no-dvd -crack mentioned on the previous pages and the game started running very smoothly. No more stuttering, just sheer enjoyment ! :sun: Thank you for this excellent hint.

Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you

I have got the no DVD patch, Now I can play my favourite game with out slow downs

It has not got rid of the ripple on the screen tho. However this only happens when playing on 1024x768. When I change it to 1280x960 the ripple is not there, why is this?
However the graphics are not as good, they still look great but lacks that sharpness of 1024x768.

My monitor is has a resolution of 1400x900, is 1024x768 the resolution I should be using for games?

How may I get rid of the ripple, I think my monitor is running at 60 Hz. In windows it say 60 but on my monitor is says H:55Khz V: 59hz

Should be in 3D configuration of your Catalyst Control Center if you have ATI card. VSYNC or Vertical refresh
