I know a teacher who moved with his family from Nicaragua when he was 5 to New York City. He says some great things about it like the beautiful country side and the friendly people but he also talks about all the s*itty corruption and the poverty. Personally, I wouldn't mind visiting.

I know that poverty is horrible there and that my former high school is building a small school there with the money that we donated over a few years.


Personally, i really wouldn't want to visit it, because i would feel horrible for those people and how they live there and then my conscience would make me like want to go on a mission to free the world from poverty, but I'm too lazy to start doing it, so i would fail and feel even more miserable.

Managua is considered very confusing for visitors, because it has no street names or addresses. After the 1972 earthquake the city regrew organically and street signs were generally not replaced. Directions are always given relative to landmarks, but landmarks are often used which no longer exist

theres this place were theres a big tree or something, so if you want to get to somewhere near there you would say: "From el Arbolito (little tree) three blocks to the west.."

and yea,I suppose theres a good amount of poverty. As the vast majority of developing countries, theres a huge gap between the rich and the poor but for f*cks sake, please don't think of us (all of us) as poor, dirty bastards who dont know what the Internet is...
