Man I am doubting that XBOX 360 will even come close to how good PS3 will be. Xbox made a stupid ass move to start sellin the box by Christmas and rushed everything. They tried what PlayStation did with the PS2. Which is..when PS2 came out it was the top console of its time, then XBOX came out and took over as the top console (I'm not saying which is better or w/e). The fact is, Xbox tried to do the same thing with the 360, making it the top console at its time when it came out in Christmas, but I believe that the 360 is gonna be crushed by the PS3 whenever it comes out. The PS3 will then be the top console, following the move that XBOX pulled from the beginning.

The systems will differ greatly..from gameplay to the overall statistics...which will be better? We'll just have to wait and see..

the article doesn't mean which will be the better console (in fact we haven't see ps3 in action yet). but just to clear up the mind for those who think ps3 can produce CG animated like graphics like Aslan in Narnia which is impossible. the graphics may looks like CG animated character but in fact, it is still no way near (as you read the article, each frame of Aslan take about 10 hours to render which you can't do it on a console).

whaaaaaaat is that. Thank God its just a dev kit man it looks like my old vcr. If the actual ps3 is anywhere within that size, that will be seriously horrible.

it just a dev kit which design to ease developer work (see their bring out some ports and control at the front panel). of course the final version will not look like this, it is still the same design but with re-design controller which will unveal in E3 ;)

It would take a truly brilliant Japanese designer to come up with the above oldies design for the PS3.. It wud be so smart.

The "futuristic" silver concave look is so used up and expected. And cold too.

The original VCR look is more engaging IMO. And extremely unique.

...However, it's the image that is far more interesting. The PlayStation 3 logo appears in its standard silver, Spider-Man font, but the console itself is totally blacked out. Although the general shape of the console seems to be the same as we've seen since E3 last year, the fact that they've totally disguised the console in a black smog raises questions about whether the console's design has changed.....

-launch date: Japan (11 Nov): 20GB bundle $499, 60GB $599 (price for north america). North America, Europe and Australasia (17 Nov): 20GB €499 60GB €599 (price for europe). 2 million available on launch.
-virtual fighter 5 exclusive for ps3
-FFXIII announced for ps3 (should be exclusive) screen
