Undeserved tie for Sweden. 2-0 for us would've been more fair, along with the penalty we were robbed from getting called.

I had to bring this up because it amazes me how eager some of you guys are to take shots at anything Benfica related....yet ironically, it was two of your Sporting players that were the reason for both of Sweden's goals today, and Nuno Gomes who salvaged something in the dying minutes....go figure

Miguel didn't exactly play godly. Neither did Tiago. Props to Petit.

But really, you're seeing things in black and white, Shinji. You look at it as me attacking Miguel just because he's from Benfica, when in reality I'm attacking him because he's 200x inferior to Ferreira in the DR spot. I hate to say it, but you were kind of hypocritical to reply to me the way you did.

Mediocre game for us, like we're getting used to lately from our NT. Anyway, we are also being extremely unlucky and it would be extremely unfair if we had lost the game. We probably would've deserved to win, but our trademark characteristic (having many chances but scoring few goals) showed again.

About Ricardo... I always thought he was a world-class keeper. During his time at Boavista, he was simply superb. This year, I don't know what has happened to him. He's with no confidence at all and making mistake after mistake. He doesn't seem like the same player... At this moment, I think Quim is much better and deserves to be our main GK.

Anyway, good performances by Jorge Andrade, Miguel, Petit, Figo, Pauleta, Ronaldo and Nuno Gomes. About Nuno Gomes: I still remember many people here saying, a few months ago, that he didn't deserve being called to the NT and that he sucked...:rolleyes: In my opinion, it's clear he's our 2nd choice after Pauleta. Not only today's goal but also his performances this year for Benfica fully justify this.

Well, our main friendlies are over. The balance isn't good, but I'm not one of those that's going to trash our NT. I'm always supporting it and I believe now is when the decisive moments are going to come. Scolari will have one month to prepare the team for the Euro and much of our success there is going to depend on that. FORÇA PORTUGAL!

I wonder how many idiots from Sporting and Porto went around blaming Miguel for our loss in the England-Portugal friendly and then looked more idiotic by blaming Benfica for Portugal's result. No one.

So please, try to see things with other colors like red, blue, green, yellow, and brown because it usually lets you see things clearer, and less distorted.

just telling it like it is...Miguel is worse than Fereira, that's a fact and why he'll be the substitute at euro 2004. There are bigger issues on this NT than Miguel, that's for sure..

I never blame the clubs for our losses but you deserved the quote that Shinji made, you are the one that before the game told that "joke" about Miguel (why you didn't said the same "jokes" to Ricardo after his last "frangos"??!) and in the end was the Sporting players that screw all up. Don't try to turn now the point playing the fair-play fan role.

Not really, because you fail to see that I didn't attack Miguel because he was part of Benfica's organization. This is the arguement, not whether Sporting players played bad or not, that's an arguement you were trying to ignite out of thinking I attacked Miguel simply because he's part of Benfica.

You act like I masked that the goal wasn't Ricardo's fault, go read my post idiot. And also, you are blaming CLUBS for the TEAM's result, look at your nick, I don't need much more proof.

I have two idiots here telling me not to criticize a player just because he's part of a team which I didn't. But then they criticize a club because their players didn't do well for the National Team. Am I the only one seeing the twilight zone?
