i have accepted that england lost... portugal played better and won... but was lucky that a perfectly good goal was disallowed... if u had seen the video so many times u would have seen campbell and terry standing by the far post and ricardo at the other end of the goal... the ball is crossed in as both terry and campbell jump for it... ricardo cant make it but puts his arm through our players in a desperate attempt to get there as terry comes back down from his jump and the ball goes into the net and shouldnt have been disallowed. i dont give a **** what u think any more... all im saying is the portugese players deserve better fans than they have. gl to them in the final

exactly... i could find a hundred goals and a 1000 occasions where a player has touched a keeper and no foul was given... if that was how it works players would not be allowed into the 6 yard box... the players went for the ball before the keeper did there for no foul...

Who is to say BTW that this goal -- had it been given -- would have been the last one in that match? In that match everything was possible, even a late portuguese equalizer.
And as a neutral spectator I have to say the call was to be expected. You cannot judge in a split second whether someone's arm is up or underneath and who pushes more and less. *You* can, because you can watch it until the cows come home on replay. These things get called all the time in the goalie's box. Last thing: neither Terry, nor Campbell were complaining mutch about the decision or were they?

well, of course they were complaining... i still had the feeling, though, they took it like grown up men and were not whining on about it... but maybe i missed that one.. was just too much going on in that match...
jesus i hate you guys. i distinctly remember people complaining like it was the biggest injustice when i think Raul or who touched the GK in his little square or whatever, but the goal was still allowed, saying how the referees are biased, Real bought the game, etc. im not saying you english fans were saying this, but everyone, except the Real fans in that thread was saying you CANNOT touch the GK in his area. now its completely different.
England are out/////// accept it. I predicted that England would make it to the final but they did not so I am dissapointed as well but that is life. Portugal attacked more.
