I remember someone saying most Obama supporters are the MTV watcher type....oh man it'll be like a whole generation devastated when they possibly/probably assassinated:

You are such a stupid little ****. Shut the **** up.

"I remember someone saying" isn't the most credible ******* source. And "probably assassinated"? Do you have Down's Syndrome or something? It's like your brain hasn't developed since you turned 10.

Back to the election at hand:

Apparently, Rupert Murdoch likes Obama better than McCain. Go figure.

I posted in another thread some time ago that Murdoch was spotted lunching with Clinton around the time Bush's ratings started to fail. For capitalists it doesn't matter which side of the political spectrum the potential leader comes from, so long as their policies allow further accumulation.

I will be interesting to see Fox News if Murdoch comes out for Obama. I don't think it will make much of a difference because Roger Ailes runs Fox and is the biggest partisan hack on the planet (at least that isn't behind a microphone), but it would be interesting.

On a more positive note, thank you Rev. Pfleger! You have no idea how entertaining this is to watch for a conservative like me. Well done, Father. Encore! Encore!

Um........ what exactly is wrong with anything he said? White people are so ******* terrified of "reverse racism".

This "gotcha!" game with Obama is hilarious because he's squeaky clean, and where he's not (past drug use), he freely admits it. OMG did you hear that he said his grandfather liberated Auschwitz, when it was actually the Red Army that did! OMG OMG OMG!! Gaffe prone! Oh, his grandfather liberated Buchenwald? Nevermind....

Imagine that the roles were reversed. Imagine the comments were made by a friend and spiritual advisor* of HRC's at her church, attacking Obama in a similarly agitating, divisive and racist manner. I guarantee you that would be at least as big of a story as this one. "White people" aren't terrified of reverse racism, they (like Americans in general) have an aversion to any kind of racism or racially charged comments. It's not reverse racism they're terrified of, it's political incorrectness (incorrectitude?). See: Gibson, Mel; Richards, Michael and Imus, Don.

And of course the media is making too big of a deal out of this. That's just what the media does. The media (in general) may have its liberal biases, but its allegiances lie first and foremost with sensationalism.

I'm a Brit. i have absolutely no say on who gets elected blah blah. But i'm a huge fan of Obama, i think he is the first fairly (not saying he's perfect) genuine leader any western society has seen in a LONG time. He guides his actions on principles instead of policies.

This campaign just shows how much immaturity people can have, even at the older age. The responses from Clinton's supporters have been down right disgusting. And so are Clinton's tactics, its one thing to be a fighter and hang in there, but its another to play dirty. Just shows what you will get with Clinton when things won't go her way. Is it really about helping and improving the country and its people? Or is it just about her now trying to get what she wants. She doesn't even care about USA, its all about her and she would hate to fail. Sucks how almost everybody that gets to run our countries is like that. These highly motivated people with strong need for personal gain. While those that should be running it are in UNICEF or something.

Thank god, i'm in Canada. ****, i might move to France eventually, at least people there get their voices heard.

Well, its about damn time. Now Clinton is suddenly talking about being the VP and running mate for Obama. Only 2-3 weeks ago, she was having a go at Barack and suddenly she wants to be his right hand man, i mean woman.

See i'm not so sure about that one. Hillary Clinton raised a lot of support this campaign despite not getting the nominee and the main thing is that it was support from people that will most likely be McCain's voters or as i'm guessing they will stick to their word and vote for McCain just for being pissed off that Hillary wasn't chosen. Democrats raised a lot of attention and i mean a lot of attention this campaign. If Obama takes Hillary with him, then she will definietly bring some good numbers his way that otherwise might have gone either way. Can Edwards do that? Maybe, who knows what Barack got up his sleeve. But Clinton's support "could" end up being very crucial in the presidential race.

But did you see how bitter she was? Obama's speech was fantastic, it really was, the man is a great speaker. Now the real test begins, I believe Hillary almost certainly killed her shot at VP with her speech tonight, very bitter and divisive

Good on him, the fair winner at the end of the day. Now that the decision has been made the best thing that Hillary can do is slip into the background so that the Democrats can focus on beating McCain (who would obviously love an extended period of sniping). The last thing they need to divisiveness in the ranks when they are up against the Republicans, who will already be figuring out how to try and rig it this time around.

If you had told me six months ago he would win the nomination I would have been surprised, but it seems like after then the Clinton campaign started to flounder and go from one screw up to the next. But good on Obama for keeping on going through his own screw ups and the times it seemed the media had it in for him, he got through it and that experience should stand him in good stead for the campaign. It is actually probably just what he needed, a reasonably tight race, to blood him for the real deal.

Oh absolutely, i expected nothing less. It takes a woman with an immense pride to achieve what she has achieved. She tried to play the status quo game and failed, however. Personally, i wouldn't want her anywhere near the White House, but like i said, it "might" end up being the difference between Obama and McCain. Depending on what moves the Democrats will take to keep Hillary's voters and what will Republicans do to lure them. Both McCain and Obama have strong base and i think those voters are the playing field right now.

Edwards is a superstar, the champion of the downtrodden. He's a much better choice than Hillary.

Yes, our Chief Election Strategist, Snidely Whiplash, is tirelessly working on that as we speak. He's devised a plan where we would tie Hillary to a railroad track, so that Obama will be drawn to save her from the approaching train, forcing him to miss one of the nationally televised debates. We're also considering throwing sand in Obama's face, slipping laxatives into his coffee cup, pouring sugar in the gas tank of his car, and throwing a banana peel into his path as he's walking.

This is all strictly off the record, of course.
