some of you people have no idea what you are talking about!! i laughing at all the people who said it not gonna happen. rangers and celtic for that matter are two of the biggest clubs in europe. not the best but the biggest. take a look at rangers training ground, £12m was the cost. its one of the best in the world. i a rangers fan and Prso is not world class but it a good signing on a free. gonna take more than that to get close to celtic and do well in europe though. yeah the SPL is weak but what can rangers and celtic do? they want to leave but uefa will not let them move to england. even when the translantic league was talked about with clubs from holland, portugal, belgium etc uefa said no. it is so hard for rangers and celtic to attract the best players.

Celtic might be the biggest club in the world, their overseas supporters just don't flaunt it like other fans do. There are heaps of them tho.

ok so everyone should stop slagging rangers here, yes they maybe a bad team now but things change in different seasons. I wouldnt class them as a bad team in previous years, more as underachievers, theyve had great players in the 90s and early 2000s but somehow not done well in europe. Rangers are a big team in terms of support and revenue, if you look at the rich lists they always come in the top 20. They may be in huge debt right now and that will probably stop them competing in the transfer market but theyre a team in transition and need to bring in better players for example prso if theyre going to go anywhere from the horrible season theyre having. Rangers big players in the yesteyear have been mercenaries, just playing because of the money, this kind of mentality needs to be stopped in the team. They need players who are going to give their best every game and it seems that theyve found these players in the youngsters burke hutton etc. what happened this season is that mcleish got rid of all the good performers for rangers last season, numan, caniggia, mccann, amorouso, ferguson and tried to replace them with part timers such as vanoli capucho ostenstad although henning berg has played well
