It'll take Wenger a long while to realise Seaman is at fault for 3 straight losses - now everyone is no longer scared of Arsenal.

It took Wenger a long while to realise we had weak central midfield backup in 1999 to 2001.

It also took him ages to work out the defence needed replacing.

What kind of manager is that?

Do you need me to list the 100s of things he does better than 99% of the managers out there? I won't bother since I have no interest in defending the Arsenal manager to an Arsenal fan, but Wenger is without a doubt one the finest managers in the world. If you want to tell him to f'off and go back to George Graham that would be great, but I fancy 99% of your fellow Arsenal fans would beat u down (not in a literal sense) before the words came out of your mouth.

I prefer managers who are great tacticians and good in the transfer market (i.e. Dario Gradi, Venebles, Sir Bobby Robson, possibly Tigana), and who are prepared to change tactics halfway thru a game, not those who play long ball (Taylor, Graham) or those who talk a good game (i.e. Wenger, Eriksson)

btw - most managers are crap, Wenger is amongst the best of the rest, but if I was looking for my ideal football manager it certainly woudn't be him

Campbell - free
Ljunberg - peanuts
Pires - around 7 million

Not to mention he peddled Anekla, Overmars & Petit for big bucks. If Arsene Wenger was a used-car salesman he'd be the kind that would rob you blind and leave you paying fifty grand for a 15 year old car with a dodgy motor & 300,000 klicks on the odometer.....and no stereo.

Edu world class??? Was he even involved with Brazil last Summer?

but you forgot about Gilberto - thats probably his best signing - cut price bargain for someone of his calibre - and has instantly settled in.

But no world class manager would let Overmars go though, and only letting Petit go for £7 million, Petit was then worth at least £10 million - and he's never prized a world class player from Italy or Spain unless he is a reject.

Seriously? I never knew, sorry my bad. Still, I think Wenger has done a phenominal job in the transfer market and just done a great job making Arsenal one of the best teams in Europe. U mention Venables & Sir Bobby and while I love both of them, look how well their teams are doing compared to Wengers.

You are just frustrated at the results. Wenger is an excellent manager and Arsenal who had good luck for a year (not saying it was luck alone) is now having a spell of bad luck.

I wish everyone would stop defending Seaman and just give Stuart Taylor or Rami Shaaban a chance. But, of course, Seaman will keep on playing just because Wenger and Sven are just rewarding him for his service now.

Wenger didn't have a lot to do to make Arsenal great unlike Robson at Newcastle. Infact I think we were top when Wenger took over.


Anyway still don't rate him. only 2 successful seasons, and lots of RU's and 2nd's on his Arsenal record.

I'm off now, I'm supposed to have received an important email today - nowhere in sight so sod it.
