The only thing that will accomplish is an even more unbelievable exit in the first round.... so I agree.

Even I'll admit that is funny as it is indicative of our failure in champions league despite all the heavy investment. I must say tho, we should've been 3-0 or so up at half-time, but hey, kudos for lyon for been the better team over the two legs. And arbeloa is an idiot.

Now that is a post I can respect

Yeah I agree Lyon was a better team over the 2 legs, but had Pipita finished one of his 3 tap ins your story might be different, I must say I feel that because we had a game like that against sevilla in the CdR...

I gotta admit it would have been the best day in the history of a cule to beat the "galacticos" just even 1-0 in the bernabeu for la orejona

yeah and lyon should've been 3-0 in the first leg, and 1-3 in the second half.

probably should've been more than 3-0 in the first leg, we had a shocker and lyon the oppisite. Is it true madrid hasn't beaten lyon yet in champions league?

that said, if stuttgart knew how to finish well (same problem as us), the first leg of yours could've been 2-0 or 3-0 at half-time.

That's true. They always beat you in STade Gerland and draw in Bernabeu.

For those non-Spanish speakers:

Cicinho:

"Leaving Madrid and going to Roma was like a liberation. I was a prisoner in Madrid... The atmosphere in Real Madrid was terrible, mainly because of the small group of Spanish players..."

"Raul has privileges at the club. The big problem is that the press knows about everything that happens in the locker room... It is the Raúl Madrid, but thankfully I'm no longer part of it..."

"At Real Madrid there is a tendency to treat foreigners badly. Look how they treat Kaka, he is questioned while being the best in the world..."

I never heard anything like this about Raul. I think he's a decent guy. It's natural for players like Raul, Del Piero, Totti, Giggs and ... to have some power in the locker room or the Press. He's a sub this year, I never heard he complains, he continues his work.

About Kaka, he plays really poor at the moment.

Raúl made moving to the likes of Anelka, Owen and Ronaldo (cow one), why do you think Aragonés doesn't call him for the national team??

He must be exaggerating a bit there. The likes of Zidane and Roberto Carlos seem to have an affection for the club despite not being Spanish. If they were treated poorly then I doubt they would feel that way about the club.

Foreigners who can take the place of his mates, for example Anelka/Morientes. Cicinho/Salgado. And isn't new in madrid, Luis enrique left madrid and join barça because was tired of the corporatism group of Hierro & C.o.

YELLOW CARD: Untrustworthy
That Raul thing isn't anything new, it dates back to the first Galactico era, and even Guti is in the same group. There is a reason lots of Madrid fans applauded Pellegrini when he stop putting Raul on the starting lineup despite what most of the media would say. And even then, you would here more debates about how he should be starting rather than sitting down and letting the new players play, on the radio. They treat him as if he himself was Madrid, and I don't blame them, since he as done for the club.. But like all stars, he reached his peak years ago and should have known when to step aside... too bad He still doesn't realize it, along with those above him, Marca and AS included.

Barca had 2 in that Period, United, Arsenal, Milan, Inter and Liverpool had one or two as well.

10 coaches shows a very weak and unreliable management.

4 days ago Higüaín were as good or better than Wayne Rooney and after Lyon pwnage he isn't good enough for real madrid. Schizophrenic team.

to be honest, he was their best signing (in terms of quality/price).

Ending talented players careers is another especial ability of Real management.
