Beckham didnt "take it easy" in Madrid. Atleast not on the pitch, he was always trying and working very hard when he played. but he was crap, theres nothing he could do about that. i repeat, he never lacked effort.

I'm not worried about Beckham underperforming at LA Galaxy. He is not the player that needs speed and trickery to shine, he just needs time and space. At LA he will get that and Galaxy will reap from his amazing passes and crosses. Why run 50 yards to try and make that assist, when you can make that same assist from 50 yards.

Someone's hit a new low, he can't burn anyone in 2007, so he goes back to 2003 to see if he can stop people from burning him by killing the one who started it all.... 've been watching too much Terminator.

Meh, according to the neutral rep, I'm a fag, so don't call me a retard you homophobe. How does one get neutral rep, btw? Do you need one neg and one positive rep? 'm reading too much into it.

Football's not meant to be a kind-hearted business, you don't re-sign someone because of their past. If they don't perform, they're out. Becks was great, he was one of my favorites back in the day, but he's, very unfortunately, past it. As much as I hate to say it, the future for Becks is all downhill from here. In hindsight it was all downhill from the moment he left United.

I agree with "whatthe", United fans dissing him is disgusting, he played his heart out for the Reds, and the moment he leaves (even though he left in infamy), or makes a mistake, you jump on him like flies on ****.

And you know what? I bet if Beckham wanted into the England squad, he wouldn't have crossed the pond anyway. He's not stupid, he knows that Int. football is perhaps not an option anyway. Anyway, it's not like he hasn't got advisers left and right to help him with his decision.

maybe man u, not real that side is cursed or something

Currently 2 points from the top and potentially 3 points from Barca, doesn't seem to be all that bad for them.

You gotta admit though, his major advisor (Posh) was the downfall of him. Although family is more important than anything in the world.

He was a sell out, his lifestyle and media attraction impacted his playing career, and he bottled it. He knew he could take a 5 year contract and get a big payday, even if he plays horribly. Or he knew he could have one last shot in europe, and if he didn't prove himself as a football player it would all be over. He chose money over football, and what I don't like is how he said he wanted nothing more than to get back into the England squad, which was obviously a lie because he knows it isn't happening now he's gone to the USA. Alex Ferguson has shown that he was right to get rid of the guy, and his career choices mean he will always be remembered as a media attraction rather than a good player. On sky sports today they were basically attacking him verbally, saying how at best he was a good player, never world class, and that he will never be thought of as an England great. Well done Beckham.

I swear Dean, sometimes you come out with some nobbish-statements.

I'm not happy with the decisions he's made in his career, and how people say how unfairly he is treated. In 20 years when you say David Beckham, media coverage and advertisement endorsement deal's will come to mind, not what he has done as a player. I'm sure his wife had plenty to do with his anti-climax career.

Yeah, well said by the jealous Manchester United fan who's club peaked with Beckham as the best player on the team. He was England's captain for years and the best player on the Treble winning team. What a goat. **** you guys.
