Rooney priced above £50m

Everton are trying to take advantage of the momentum. They knew that there's no chance of any club going for such a bid.

The Englishmen tend to get very excited when it comes to their national team, you know.

He could barely get in the first XI for most of the season, now Everton want this...

IMO the max bid that they should get for rooney is 15 to 20 mil,
and by him scoring those two goals for england makes his value go up a little

he's young, he's been nurtured, like cristiano ronaldo. It's something that Liverpool need to learn

50 million is not his price tag. Don't you people see? Everton don't want to sell Rooney, so they make those Barca - like price tags, which as well means he is not for sale. But trust me if Rooney wants to leave he will go for around 20 million. He can easily do a Ferdinand.

Oh yeah! Anybody heard Beckham's talk on Rooney after the Swiss game?
"He has a strong character"
"He walks around the hotel, like none of this happened"
"He is a good lad"
"He also has a GOOD gilrfriend"
lol, Victoria should look closer into this.

He wont go for less than 30 million unless there are other players involved in the transfer.

From what i've heard all day it sounds like Manchester United are on the verge of a £30 million bid

lol, paper talk is bull. Rooney isn't a 50 million dollar player and Everton know that, this is just a method to keep Rooney at the club or increase the prices other teams are offering for him. If he does go, i ersonally believe it will be for 30 which is still high but I can see him going for that. Anyways to an above statement, Ronaldinho is a great player, one of the best in the world and he is worth 50 million

i think at the end he will leave everton. taking part in euro is great chance to grow his reputation, everton don't have a strong squad depth for title chase. even not qualified in UC or UCL. he will leave for UCL or for EPL champion title. trust me, every decent player hope to play in UCL. alan smith is an example....

yes i agree you ronaldinho is a very very good player. if zidane last time cost madrid £40m plus. he does cost around £50m. but if purchase a player with £50m, i rather send my scout to brazillian league for some good player even though lack of big matches experience. brazillian Diego, Robinho will be a future star. i believe they will follow the step of Kaka, go for europe to bright their reputation and career

I actually think Everton DO want to sell Wayne Rooney.

By naming price tags and all they're inviting clubs to bid.

Basically they are implying if you don't have big bucks don't bid.

I wonder how successful Everton is at negotiating.

Yeah, good point, totally agreed! Also, I can see Rooney are wanting to jump to another big club too, look he try so hard to *create* some good performance but actually he was doing lots of fouls.

IMO, £50m are Highly OVERpriced for Rooney, he is young and fit, but there is so many striker out there like him too.

He is not valued at £50 million......its just Evertons way of saying he aint for sale so leave him alone........another knee jerk reaction from the boys at SG.....................

It's hard to say how much he's worth, but star players are hardly ever sold for what they're actually worth, it's usually a higher price.

I'm not sure if it's a question of how much he's worth now than a question of how much he would be worth in around five years' time and how good. If I was a manager with the cash for a player like him I don't think I'd go for him quite yet, since a lot of things can happen during the next few years, Rooney may have injury problems or some bad spells.

Rooney really doesn't have the marketing value though.
Most think that he's ugly and well, he ain't like Beckham by any means in the matter of style.

So he propably won't be going for much more than what he's worth as a player. There could be some Rooney shirts sold on this Euro-craze, but I think he really isn't a wise investment to any club even at a price around 20m.
