Steve Bruce has left Hull City after promoting them for a second time, believed to be in protest at lack of ambition from owners and instability at club.

Roberto Martinez and Bob Bradley two surprised favourites to take over, for different reasons. I would like to see Bradley try his hand at a premier league club, and it seems like a worrying step down for Martinez. Keeping them up is going to be a very, very tough job - they have a good squad but poor support from the board. Nigel Pearson also linked after being somewhat surprisingly passed over for Aston villa job.

Bradley was the American manager of the USA prior to Klinnsman who did exceedingly well in multiple tournaments culminating in that very promising 2010 World Cup run. Subsequent to leaving the USA job he made the highly commendable cAreer decision to try and build a reputation as a club coach by moving out of his comfort zone and taking on unusual European sides, doing pretty well at them, which is a very brave and ambitious thing for an American coach to do when he could easily have had his pick of clubs in MLS instead of having to deal with anti American prejudices all over Europe. He is currently at Le Havre. I think he deserves a shot at a premier league club, he has old school American hands on coaching methods and team spirit building.

Oh another possibility is Ryan Giggs being given his first chance to fly solo but I would say it's too volatile of a club for him to take that risk on.

He also managed Egypt after the Arab Spring when the Egyptian League was suspended. He did very well, but was eliminated by Ghana in the World Cup Qualifiers, which is no real crime considering Ghana goes every 4 years.

Took over Le Havre last November and lost out on promotion to Ligue 1 on goals scored. Same points, same goal difference.

Drinkwater -> Tottenham, £20m

At 26 he's not quite as old as I thought he was. Would he get in the Tottenham first team? Would it be good for his England chances to join the club with most of the rising English talent?

Vardy is one stupid prick. Now, there are rumours of Mahrez to Arsenal and Walcott going the other way.

Draxler is being linked with a move because apparently he said there is an agreement between him and Wolfsburg that he can leave easily if he wants. Obviously Wolfsburg released a statement denying everything

The bid is more or less meaningless. If he's unsettled, we could be forced to sell. If he wants to stay, Bayern will probably reject any bid like they did for Muller last summer.

I don't know why clubs bother with such obviously doomed to fail bids. Surely it costs thousands in fees just to have the offer prepared and drawn up just to be obviously rejected
