Russia v Wales [P] + [R]

Excellent result for Wales, but it will be tougher at home. Russians are great counter attackers. The Welsh team will be yelled forward by the fans inside the stadium, they've got to be careful not to walk into the trap. It's still very much 50-50 I reckon.

Russian have no sportsmanship... the welsh team pointed to the russian to put the ball out.... but they didtn....

Good job Wales. Now finish the task at the Millenium Stadium on Wednesday.

Can't wait to see Giggs on the national stage next summer. (Hopefully!!)

i dunno what the hell is about this match....
i saw it from the 2nd half and they all are like dead frog on the pitch...
there's no charisma and sportsmenship in the players heart.....
one word to describe the match: Boring

the atmosphere is not the kind you watched in scotland...but in cardiff, the atmosphere will be electric and more alive than booorriiinngg moscow...

Alright, you goto moscow and try playing in those conditions, VERY BAD, at this time of the year, they were lucky not to get thrased like some teams..

It was a good Welsh performance to stop the otherwise free-scoring-on-home-turf Russians. In the end the Russians lost their rag and their sportsmanship as they were trying to get Giggs sent of (a vicious tackle on him and then a blatent dive 'Giggsy's arm hit my shoulder, 10mins later, I'll fall on the floor'... Then refusing to do the sporting thing and give the ball back to us.

Then some of the obnoxious fans throwing flares onto the pitch.

So to get a draw in those conditions, added to the climate of Russia is a good result for Wales.

It's not done yet, by a long way. I suppose the fact that Wales know they have to win in Cardiff to progress could be viewed as an advantage because there's no complications of away goals etc. So we know we have to play to win and not to draw. :D Having said that an away goal in Russia would've been nice. :)

Still, I reckon it's about 50-50 in Cardiff. We'll have a better chance than we had in Russia but Russia also know what they have to do.

away goals count dont they? if so, they must not concede...

Yep, Wales can't afford to concede an away goal, or else they got to score twice, same can be said for Holland and Turkey.

cheating b*ds, they throw themselves around on the floor, visciously attack welsh players, play very unsportingly AND then have the audacity to go moaning to UEFA that Wales are in the wrong. I hope UEFA laugh at them. :kader: :nape:

Russia knows they won't go through if Giggs is playing.

Low low bastards.

They'll get owned in Cardiff.
