Finally a match in which every Spaniard played well. Ramos finally stepped up and it clearly showed in the team's performance.
Russia was pretty much destroyed in the midfield. Actually the injury of Villa was good for Spain. The change of formation was just what they needed. Russia didn't know how to defend now, perfect example can be shown in the opening goal. The central defenders didn't have 2 strikers to guard, and they weren't ready to defend those runs up from the midfield, a'la Xavi.
Iniesta finally had a good game - his passing was great, not just the easy passes to the defenders. He passed upwards. Great pass to Xavi in the 1st goal, and a beautiful flick for Cesc to continue to Villa.
Güiza has shown his skill in the big stage now, and if I were Aragones, I guess I would let him start, Torres on the bench. Torres has had 3 times the time on the field than Güiza, and scored half the goals.
Could go on and on, but can't bother to write a novel. On to the final!

Well, what can I say? Well deserved victory for Spain
They shut Arshavin and the wingers, eventually leaving Pavlychenko and Saenko without the ball. The rest was a techical matter, taking into account their attacking potential.
Still, more than successful tournament for Russia
Arshavin, Zhirkov and Pavlyuchenko have certainly caught some attention. Hope our team will keep improving. And maybe winning a tournament that big at once wouldn't be such a good thing for a team like Russia - just look what has happened to Greece.
And finally Russia could play some really attracting football, which was appreciated by the top football nations and their fans.
