Would be interesting to make a count of players based on championships. So far looks like PL is undoubtly leading

Yet again I'm torn between someone who I need (or who offers something different that I value, now that the starting eleven is pretty much set), whose replacements should he get taken aren't as good (although he's less likely to get picked), or getting someone whose more likely to get picked, but for whom I have good replacements in mind and who is likely to get picked sooner rather than later.

I'm happy with Alex, but Dytza ****ed me by getting Jagielka, so I dunno what to do this time. Really hoping fender logs in soon because I don't want to PM my pick.

EDIT: Nevermind, now you go Arnau.

EDIT2: Went with the latter, since the two guys I'm most worried about have already gone. We'll see how that goes. Anyway, snapped Sturridge before his stock skyrockets. His suspension has helped me here, because he's gonna be huge this season. From being off-loaded to Bolton for half a season, where he was brilliant, to AVB considering him the starter on the RW, is a huge step up. He's long been touted as the one to inject life back into Chelsea, and today his great cross and cheeky back-heel goal (with his weaker foot) made me worry that I needed to sign him before someone else does, even though he has to prove himself still, but I'm pretty confident. Very fast, excellent technique, good finisher and he's good vision and passing as well as a decent cross.

Depending on how he performs, he could start, but right now having two excellent finishers on the bench who offer something completely different to what my other 3 forwards do is very welcomed.

good week for my picks so far: Moutinho, Xavi, Chicharito and Hamsik, all scored.

Btw, is that really lamella? he looks like a girl there.

I got excited thinking Kalou had made that play. Turns out he was an unused sub. I'm starting to think I ****ed that pick up.

As I said at the times, he's got all the attributes to be a world-class player, but his finishing is inconsistent (poor really), and he's an instinct player, if given time he makes the wrong decision and it's just a shame. He's played with enough good strikers and good coaches to improve his finishing, and I don't think that'll ever really improve enough for him to be a 20 goals a season player (although he scored like 15 last year, which isn't bad at all), but I'm hopeful his decision-making improves and that he'll become the worldclass player he once promised to be and get 1-2 seasons at his peak.

But yeah, you picked him too early. He's a top guy and is willing to play from the bench as an impact sub, and that's what he should be playing as. Get another winger and use him as someone to put in the last 10-20 minutes when you're chasing the game. He's a good player in that situation.

Landycakes!

Anyway, we've had some reaches thus far, but Daniel Sturridge is BY FAR the biggest. I'd say he's the biggest reach we've had in this competition's history except for when simo_yes picked some Icelander because of a goal celebration. Come ON Az, seriously? There are guys who are better versions of Sturridge at direct competitor clubs who won't get picked for another 5 rounds.

You picked Phil Jones, it's the same sort of pick. Sturridge is going to explode this year. AVB loves him and has pretty much promised him the starting RW spot, and there's good reason for that. I know there are currently better players out there, I even PMed you one because I wanted to pick him and leave Sturridge to later, but now that he's started playing after his suspension, I'm sure that his stock will go uop and he'll get picked soon, so I got him now.

That said, I'm fully aware that for anyone who hasn't been up to date with things at Chelsea, this pick is one that will make more and more sense as the season goes on.

this was hard to pick for me, had 2 other players in mind, also pretty good but a bit younger. the fact that my team needs some veterans too plus the way he changed these past few years made it a no-brainer. one of my favorite strikers that are still playing (and Kezman lol -_-), I'm glad he finally matured and settled somewhere, too bad he didn't do it earlier.

Drogba is clearly the best striker there, but Anelka's form over the past couple of years has been top at Chelsea. Old, but fantastic pick.
