We could even do 1hr pick times instead of 1.5hrs, that way it's easier to divide hourly.

I think it will be fine, it will force people to leave a list, or else they will get screwed.

It's going to be a nice test for the season draft we do later, maybe very short selection times are the way to go.

No idea, has he even been online lately? He'd surely be a great addition to this.

BTW anyone else wanting to join is welcome until the selection starts, but whoever decides to do so up after Horatiu finishes doing the randomizer thing will inevitably be stuck with the last places of the pecking order.

You should add 4-2-3-1 (the German tactic) as an acceptable tactic. Can the 4-3-3 have 3 strikers?

In this case, doesn't the 4-5-1 "include" the 4-2-3-1? After all it also features 5 midfielders.

Yeah, I think it's ok for the 4-3-3 to have 3 strikers.

What are we going to do in this scenario:

It's the WC final. Two SGers are ahead of everyone else, tied on points. SGer A has 5 players in the final, and they end up getting an average of 5.2 points for a total of 26 points. Sger B has 3 players in the final who get an average of 8.5 for a total of 25.5 points.

Is it fair that SGer A wins the competition? The five players he has got a crappy 5.2 (not sure on how whoscored it ranks things, just using an example with FM numbers). While SGer B's three players all had really great games.

By SGer A winning it means the #1 selection criteria is having players who play in the final, and not necessarily picking the players you think will have the best performances.

It's an interesting question, I'd go with SGer A. After all, he did make the best selections considering the long path to the final which should be the primary goal for any team, even if its players didn't have a great performance in the last match.

Btw any rules on playing players out of position? Suppose I have many injuries or many out of the tournament and I have no wingers left. Can I play my backup striker there? Even though he may never have played this position.
