I dont know that about the spanish NT, but if torres, Villa, Vicente, or Reyes play in the same position, then Raul should be benched.
Ok Reyes and Villa have an assured spot in the XI, and are in better form that Raul but... Torres? Vicente (who even won't go to the WC and have always been utter sh!t in the NT)? No way.

It's official. You don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about. First you were going on about how Raul was "decisive" and "key" in Spain's recent successes and failures (I'll ignore the fact that you said "successes"). I was waiting to see what other opinions you had before judging you, but this settles it. If you think Vicente has always been "utter ****" then you need to move that rock you've been living under. My favorite player is Reyes, but even I am willing to admit that Vicente most likely would have beat him out for the spot if he was healthy. He has frequently been the most dangerous player for Valencia and for the NT when he's played.

i said that they exert certain pressure to choose the players for the NI, and if you actually had any contact with anyone or read any of the press in Spain (outside of Madrid) you would agree with me to a certain degree, so please shut up you moron.

Tell me do you think it's normal that Raul is so ****ty right now and that he is still called up to the NT? Oh wait, he can give experience to younger players blah blah blah...ok so then what about Torres? That over-rated player that if he played lets say for Racing..would he get called up? NO, have you seen how many goal opportunities he misses??????? And then players like Antonio Lopez, who are good there's no doubt about that, but in their current form, do they actually deserve to be called up? What if he played for Espanyol, would he get called up? NOOO

So please stop believing everyone in Spain is super duper happy with Aragones and his NT, cause they aren't, except for the fans of both Madrid teams.

Michel Salgado is awesome btw...
Wow so angrey, from you inital post it seemed like you were saying that the press picks the players.

No players have been called up yet for the WC and it wont suprise me if Raul does not get called up. As face said the Madrid press dont praise him so much as you think they are doing. Torres is overrated and I dont think he should be in the NT but its Aragones choice, to me it seems like every NT manager has his choices which he chooses no matter what maybe Torres is one of them. Lopez can be called up but he wont be a starter, and for backup it was either him or Del Horno.

Hmm I never said anything about anyone being happy about him being the manager nor do I think that. :ewan:

Raul Gonzalez Captain? He hasnt done anything for years. He pops up once in a while but more cold than hot. Puyol should be captain of Espana. Not Raul. He doesnt have the same influence he had years ago.

I'm not speaking about his football. I'm speaking about attitude. Vicente is one of the most coward players I've seen when playing with the NT. Remember EURO 2004, I remember him getting stuck to the sideline behind 2 opponents, without making a single attempt of getting unmarked. It's like he was thinking, if I don't get the ball I can't commite any mistake and won't get neither blamed nor criticized. I hate that on a footballer, and I don't give a sh!t about him being Maradona if he lacks attitude.

He has been very important for Valencia in these last years, we're he has played totally different. Strange. It reminds me of Ronaldo, Real Madrid and the brazilian NT, but the other way around.

And BTW I don't care a bit about your opinions about me, so u can keep them for yourself.

Captain = tba after watching the rest of the league matches still in play :). Hopefully Raul does well, either way I dont think it would determine it, but it would be good to see him as el capitano :rockman:
