So...Monaco lied to Wenger about Martial and Kondogbia

Monaco lied to Wenger about Martial, Kurzawa and Kondogbia

To put it short, Monaco (and apparently a lot of clubs) had no intention of dealing with Arsenal during the summer window. Wenger and Gazidis knew Kondogbia would be available but didn't know that Rybolovlev was already wrapping up the deal with Inter by the time they called them. And Monaco told Wenger that Martial would stay because they knew Arsenal wouldn't meet their asking price.

Is there some sort of collusion between clubs not wanting to do business with Arsenal? I get that clubs like Real Madrid, Atletico and Barcelona rarely do business with one another. Of course I know Real Madrid won't be doing any business with United anytime soon.

Depay is on load at Man U by Real Madrid. If he develops they will sign him and you all know that.

No he will go to PSG. They are a "bigger" club after all.

It's not collusion at all. They were finished with the Konondogbia deal and knew that Arsenal couldn't afford Martial, so what is the point of even receiving their tiny bids.

It's possible that the guys in charge of working out deals are sick and tired with certain people from other teams who waste their time. Imagine having to read over long contracts and talk on the phone or meet in person through the whole summer, yuor busiest period, and have it all be a waste because the other team was never going to come near your asking price.

Yet Arsenal are sitting on over 200 million pounds in cash reserves. Not to mention they literally threw money at Real Madrid hoping they would get Benzema.

I don't think that's true. They probably asked for him on-loan and performance based fees and Madrid just screened their calls. Arsenal are run like a business.

Arsenal is rich, they could have signed martial if they wanted to.

But we operate on essentially the same plan. You just execute it much worse, as evidenced by how much better we are.

Our owners aren't very good. Wenger -- and I'm very pro-Wenger -- is basically allowed to operate carte blanche with very little oversight, and sometimes he could use some. Bayern is more well managed in that regard.

What's painful about splitting a bill straight down the middle 70 (+tip) - 30? I mean, I barely even tried the wine andy seat was right where the air condition was so my food was chilled. Also I think I found a hair in my steak and you wrre the one who wanted to eat out anyway, I was perfectly happy with my cup of noodles. The food wasn't kosher, either.

If that is the case, they are basically the Dallas Cowboys of the Premier League. The say they are going to win the league every year then come up oh so short. Then the press crucify them for having the best talent but no trophy to show for it. Only difference is that Wenger's ego is a fraction to that of Jerry Jones.
