Special Player Relationships

I was just reading through the Milan website and I've just noticed that whenever Kaká gets critisized, the first person to leap to his defence is Sheva. They always talk good about each other and it shows on the pitch their communication.

When Kaká first joined Milan..

"Wow, imagine a strikeforce of me and Sheva, absolutely marvellous"

Totti and Cassano also have this relationship.

"I wanted to pass the ball to Cassano"
-Totti after delivering an assist in an Italy game that led to a goal but it wasnt Cassano who scored.

Trezeguet and Henry obviously. They had a little bet before the World Cup about who will score more. And in the end none of them scored. When at Monaco, they were the hottest young partnership at that time because of the close bond they have..

So other than the ones I mentioned, any other good ones worth mentioning?

Starting XI
Dwight Yorke + Andy Cole was a really great partnership on and off the field. They complimented each other so well, and worked together so well because of their great relationship with each other. I cant think of two players that improved each others peformance so well, and had a great partnership.

Sutton And Shearer

These two basically won Blackburn the premier league one season. Then the manager decided to start playing Mike Newell instead of Sutton (H)

Senior Squad
Gary Neville and Becks.

The two are such good friends there've been a ton of jokes about the two. Jokes aside, the pair always work well for United as well as England. btw, with becks gone we've seen a lot of quality crosses from neville =)

And another one. not exactly player-player relationship, but you have to mention it.

Keano and Fergie.

Keano is Fergie's voice on the pitch. The two have so much respect for another it's amazing. Fergie is always the first to jump out to Keano's defence. Got him away from Forest, rests him whenever he can, helped him over the Haaland and McCarthy incident, and most importantly, hailed him as THE best player that has played for him.

Bebeto and Romario.

The pair were pretty good at World Cup 94. Complimented each other pretty well. Don't know if they got along though.

Surprisingly enough, i'm gona say Rio Ferdinand and Mikael Silvestre.

Without Rio there, Silvestre seems to lose all his confidence and plays crap :|
