Stadium ban and fine for Inter. But wait, there's more.....

They've been fined and ordered to play their next 6 European matches behind closed doors. That's not the end of it. The last 2 matches are probationary for 3 years, meaning if another incident like this happens the original sanction will be imposed PLUS punishment for that second offence.

One thing though, why did it have to go this far before something like this was done? Just ban the f*cking flares already.

this was posted in both the Inter Milan thread, and Ac Milan vs Inter CL thread.

And only 4 of the games are behind closed doors, and 2 are over 3 years.

Basically, Inter will play their qualifier, and 3 group stage matches behind closed doors next year.

this wont end it. If Inter Milan would have been suspended from Europe cups next season i think it would have changed. but this is nothing. :kader:

Indeed the ban is way to low. An ban for a season or something like that is much more justified.

How on earth does it come to your mind: 'Hey our team plays bad, let's throw like 15 torches on the pitch plus hitting the keeper with another torche'
Damn Inter fans :nape:

Appealing now is the only thing they can do. It has to be done within three days after the punishment was imposed, but the reason for appealing doesn't have to be clarified until three weeks after. If they don't appeal now, and find something they could have appealed against later, they'll be sorry. Appeals can be revoked without extra punishment.

It's not about not agreeing with the punishment, it's about getting it out of the way. They'd be stupid not to try to find anything that could overturn the ruling, that will cost them many millions, even if it's just some kind of procedural error.

But yeah, Ajax got a season's ban from European football for one item thrown (ok, it was a steel bar...) many years ago, and for this mayhem Inter gets 4 matches without public. It's a crooked business.

Wow, some of you guys are so full of shit it's hard to believe. Your acting as if such a thing has only happened with Inter and that it has happened before. You have to actually understand the damn situation before you start talking out of your asses.

This was a Milan derby=aka a Freakin War. Our team scores a legit goal and it's called off, of course fans are going to be pissed the hell off. Any other damn fan in the world would throw things onto the field, it's just a matter of the fans having flares instead of just bottles and such. The only reason this whole thing was blown out of prorportion was because Dida got hit. Yeah, that was bad, but worth any more then a few matches behind closed doors? Bullshit, it didn't.

So before you pointlessly vilify the club for what some radical fans did, really sit down and think of how stupid your sounding.

roma fans made the ref bleed and got a 3 game ban+fine, inter fans burnt dida and got a 4 game ban+fine+3 years probation in which 2 more games could be added to that.

so there keeping the punishments relatively similar, i guess uefa's trying to set a precedent for these incidents instead of trying to remove them entirley.

true this stuff has and always will happen, but if it loses a few games for fans it's not gonna do much, especially to teams like inter where the money isn't gonna cause the biggest problem either, if they set a precedent that banned every team from europe for a season or more if their fans did this, then it would most likely make the fans think twice.

Actually then you would have some dumbass fakers who would dress up like their club's major enemies and screw them for years to come. The best idea would be to simply ban flares in general and to worsen the punishment for the fans who throw stuff onto the field. You can't really blame a club harshly for what some radical fans do, it's ridiculous.

Uefa should have made Inter change to a all pink strip with hearts and balloons on it. Also Inter players should have to wear a pink headband with ribbons.

guys, they're INTER... they could've been given NO punishment and all the fans and players would still feel like black and blue **** because they're so damn successful :(

I think it's a fair fine, dont see the point of all the bitching for them being banned from Europe
