2.5M€ annually isn't a lot, if the above info is to be trusted. It's less than half of Suarez's wages (€100k p/w). Plus we've already loaned out Reina to Napoli to free up the wage bill (€90k p/w), along with selling other overpaid footballers as Carroll (also on €90k p/w).

That said, lack of European football is too ugly a prospect to come here..
