EA will have everything under control, they are most likely going to shock many of us with the Next Gen versions through innovative gameplay and graphics so before we jump to the conclusion that there's no information...just relax because if they showed movies from an alpha/beta version of the game they'd probs be little bugs here and there and we'd tear the game apart before we see the final result. Granted in the past many of those bugs never really get ironed out, but it's better to see something much more 'solid' and refined then something we can't truly appreciate. That way we can make a fair judgment.

Let them do their job and stop bitching lol

Well I can only speak for myself but I really don't care about next-gen stuff, I don't care about info for the game on xbox360, What I care about is the current gen game. Because really why do I care about a game that I don't have anyway of playing it. So Screw next gen I want info FOR the gen. :ewan:

when everyone see's Next gen FIFA in action, trust me! You'll be amazed. Xbox360 is packing some serious processing power, EA could literally (if they wanted to) make a pitch that gets damaged and soaks up the water creating variable ball physics and player situations such as sliding and tripping over.

I believe EA japan are developing the next-gen, whereas EAC are doing the current generation, that is if I am not mistaken. I could be wrong. It would just seem a little crazy for the same development team to make two different versions. They'd be exhausted.

Oh no i don't doubt that the next gen FIFA is going to be truly amazing, from graphics and the like but its just that right now im more concerned about the current gen game rather than next gen. Even though i'll still be amazed i'll just be focusing on the current generation game because thats the one i'll be playing come oct-nov and well until I get a PS3. Now if the graphics and gameplay are super better on the PC once next gen games come then i'll proably be getting it on PC because I don't see myself buying a $400 PS3 at launch and maybe not until a year or so afterwards. All that to be decided when the time comes. But all in all we'll deff see info on FIFA next-gen but for right now like I said im more concered about the current gen game.

FIFA Next-gen: probably solid
FIFA Current-gen: definately crap

Why? 'cause it'll be a low-budget game (for EA's standards) for sure. Why low-budget? 'cause they've probably spent a huge amount of dineros for their next-gen projects, including FIFA.

next-gen consoles are pure crap, man. i mean, their performance aint nowhere near current PCs...

and about PS2 and xbox... die bastards... die...

Mr Iggy you have to understand that when developing a game for say Xbox360 they can push it as far as they want cause every xbox360 console has the same hardware = pretty bloody amazing!!! With PC hardware, well...not everyone has the same processing power so they have to limit it and offer certain options to the gamer such as resolution and detail levels. Still not as good as the next-gen consoles...

example: take a look at project gotham 3. you'll get what i mean ;)

Ask EA, they'll tell you.

Well, the ps3 graphic core does over 300 million transistors. The fastest current graphic card for pc does about 160. 24 parallel pixel pipelines vs 16. And it's not just that, the ps3 cell processor kicks any current pc-processor (used for gaming at home) ass. Please fill me in, i'm no expert by any means, i'm just saying.. Don't knock the next-gen consoles cause you're pc-fanboys for some unexplainable reason.

It's true. At the end of the day PC's can be upgraded and eventually hardware will be released on par, if not more powerful than the next-gen xbox 360 and PS3. But to look at the facts, consoles can be pushed to the hardware limits...PC's can not.

End of.

When consoles are released, they are usually slightly ahead of current PC stuff, which the XB360/PS3 will probably be. But then we'll see ATi's new card this autumn, and nVidia's possible 7800Ultra to combat that, and PC is back on top again.

There is a PhysiX (sp?) card being released soon for the PC which should enable game physics to be carried out independant of GPU/CPU, apparantly to create the biggest leap in PC graphics since the first 3D accelerators.

BTW, the new 7800GTX stands in at 330 million transistors, and 24 pixel pipelines, I'm pretty sure. I think the PS3 nVidia graphics is a slight hybrid of it, whereas ATi have produced a new card, with fairly high speeds, and a possible unification of pixel/shader pipes which should speed things up.

Back to the topic . . . I'm afraid to say my opinion is that the new FIFA will be good if it's called "PES". I'll give it a rent though, won't discount it completely :)

For your information, the Cell is IBM's pure crap and isn't anywhere near performance of Pentium 4 or Athlon64... What you heard about Cell is just marketing bull****.
What you heard about The Cell that it has 7-in-1 processor, but the catch is that these "cores" are horribly, horribly slow, so in that case you have "very-previous-gen processor wrapped with marketing crap".

There was an article on anand-tech (which was removed. guess why) in which anonymous games developers talked about the "crap behind closed doors" aka "next-gen" consoles and their "next-gen" hardware...

And i believe that the current fastest pc graphics card actually has 24 pipes and does over 300 million transistors. That's nvidia's 7800 GTX, the same chip that PS3 uses (aka RSX)...

I aint knocking "next-gen" consoles 'cause i'm pc fanboy (yes, i admit, i am), but i really hate that marketing bull****.

Well whatever the truth about the next gen consoles is....you cant deny the fact that the next gen version of fifa is gonna be way ahead of the pc & PS2 versions. Amen :jap:

Anyway, point being... No pc games today look anything close to PGR3 or Killzone 2. On pc they have to worry about minimum specs. And that's the beauty of consoles, everyone's getting the best out of the game.
