I think we'll be seeing a fair few . . . Unreal 3 looks amazing on PC, as does Alan Wake. (I think, made by same people who did Max Payne) Chronicles of Riddick looks far better on PC. (Shader 2.0++ and a high res, you need basically 7800GTX to get decent framerates) I think we'll see many PC games that are better looking . . . the limitations on PC can be overcome by forcing people into low-quality mode, and saving high-quality/AA/AF/high-res modes for people with top graphics cards or up-to-date PC's.

If you've ever seen the ATi/nVidia demonstration stuff (Nalu/Ruby etc.), they are incredible, really push the graphics to the limit. I was playing FarCry earlier today too, appreciated how nice it looks. If only I had a 7800/x850 to play with HDR mode . . .

That's still not confirmed so, let's leave it at that... However, Unreal for PS3 was running in real time and that was equally impressive from a technical point of view. If you compare with todays Xbox games, the diffrence between a pc game and xbox game aren't that big. Halo2 looked as good as Half-Life 2, Doom 3 for PC wasn't that superior compared with the Xbox version, even though the modern computers wipe the floor with the xbox.

The 7800 can be how impressive you like, but the fact remains. There will be no games withing maybe the 1-2 years who uses it's full potential. And the card itself cost more than the ps3 or 360.

And speaking on marketing scams, don't get me started on the GeForce 7800 GTX..

And about 7800 marketing scam... nVidia at least doesn't need to fake the real power of their chip, thanks to respectable number of quality benchmarks...

Hehe, i'm not a console fanboy, i just prefer playing it and i have absolutely nothing to gain by driving my own little pro-console campaign. But i only like shoot-em-up games on pc. Half Life 2 is the best pc game ever made, and Doom 3, Chronicles of Riddick and all the other mentally disturbed first person hallway shooters shoulda never left the drawing board.

And Unreal 2007 isn't the most impressive next-gen game. You've seen the trailers for VGT, PG3?? ..

And we really have no idea how these games will look once they hit the stores. I'm just saying, keep an open mind =)

Agree, but only when they are played with a mouse and keyboard as using analog controls make it more difficult and frustrating due to lack of sensitivity
