Van der Vaart wasn't too good against Germany. After that game we started to play with a real 4-3-3 formation. Van der Vaart is good at the central midfield/behind the striker role but Seedorf got a chance. Seedorf's doing well and you know you should never change a winning team. That's basically the main reason.

At Ajax, he scores a lot by playing behind the striker and he's very good at that position. It's not working out in the Dutch NT, though. If you play with wingers and you have VDV play behind van Nistelrooy, it means you lose a midfielder too.

The great thing about Zlatan is that I don't know any other Europeans whose name aren't Zidane or Ronaldo and that are as technical as he is. I watched some compilations of him, he can waltz past defenders! Maybe not so much at Euro, but he's still young.

i think i heard that too. So hell remain on for WC qualifying, is it confirmed from his own mouth? funny how he retires from NT, is persuaded to come back for euro's, and than decides to play another 2 yrs.

yup, I was scared of that too. When the penalty's were about to begin I thought: ok this was the tournament for us but fortunatly it wasn't. I was really proud of how we did that all our penalty's were(except for Cocu) and Sarrie is our 'penalty-killer'

Seedorf has a very good shot from distance, the free kick he took was very powerful and accurate.

It's interesting that he can't score penalties, he should be able to just put them away.
