I got this from watching it live on TV.

I found the headline of an article about this. If you want to read the rest you have to pay 0,50€.

I will translate what it says.
Beatings for German youth players
The accusations are heavy. According to news agencies turkish security beated up players of the German U-21 national team after the Playoff match in Istanbul.
Thereafter coach Uli Stielike scolded upon the hosts
http://www.spiegel.de/sport/fussball/0,1518,274571,00.html

Another article? Same page. Same 0,50€ crap.
"Is there a war going on?"
After the heavy riots in the match of the German U-21 team in Istanbul hard punishments by the UEFA threaten the host Turkey. Several DFB youth players were beaten by turkish security after the match. The referee was hit by a projectile.

when they did that, english clubs were banned from european competitions... now if that happened to Turkey, I guess many people would be happy, if these boards are anything to go by...

2-NIL in the first leg?

Congrats to the Swiss for this shocker of a result, but on the other hand (especially with the tourney being held in Turkstschland), it's really going to lessen the experience and spectacle value of viewing it for me, man. I don't care if they've been struggling considerably since qualifying for WC2002.....I just want them to somehow be there in Germany, man.

Anyway, RIP to the Turks' hopes of being in Germany.

What a nice level headed person you are. :nape: For your information mate,i do not hate Turks parse, but i do not like people with so much anger and hate inside themselves. You are a typical example of the sort of Turk that makes people dislike everything your culture stands for.You are ignorant, hateful and a disgrace to civilisation.Any culture that condones the terrible behaviour that exists whenever your team plays, does not deserve to exist.Your government defends the violence, your police force not only defend it but actually join in with it,and backward people like you just cannot come out and say "it is bad".Why do so many of you just want to stab people and hurt people? What the hell is wrong with you?
As usual i will pray the Turkish team do not make it to Germany....for everyones sake.

What Switzerland did was try to terrorize the Turks. After all this, how do you expect the Turkish fans to react? With open arms? Please, do not let your personal, partial beliefs blind you, and be objective. What the Swiss did was disgraceful, unacceptable, and deserve remprimandation.

They phyiscally, mentally, and emotionally aggressed the Turks. Now that it is payback time, the TURKS are the bad guys?

ANd how can you say you hope Turks wont advance to the world cup becuase of their fans WHEN the ENGLISH FANS ARE THE WORSE. To the poster above me, you have some nerve talking about Turkish Fans when you part of a pool that is a disgrace.

And finally, how hypocritical can a few of you get? ENGLISH fans are established as the WORSE fans ever, you guys still cheer on England for a successful tour to Germany.

It is also utter hypocracy calling Turkish fans nasty when the English fans are renowned for their malicious hooligans. English fans are the most dangerous and dim-witted. The WORSE case of fan violence (with a death toll of 39) were caused my barbaric ENGLISH fans.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/768380.stm How fast we forget the Heysel Disaster.

What about Euro 2000? Yet another turbulent episode involving english soccer fans. Uefa had to come in a resolve it.

Speaking of Euro 2000, yet another statement from an article caused by the pathetic English fans:

"It was warned that, in light of their fans' behavior, the future of the English team at Euro 2000 may be in jeopardy. While the team sealed its own fate by losing 3-2 to Romania and bowing out of the tournament, many doubts surround the future of English play in international competition. In the wake of the recent events in Charleroi, many Europeans insist that England has lost all hope of hosting FIFA's World Cup 2006, and several questions still linger, unanswered, after last weekend's hostilities"

So instead of not wanting Turkish fans in Germany, people should be more worried about the English and their hostile, idiotic actions.

How about the end of 2003 where Eighty-seven English football fans have been sent home from The Netherlands after being arrested during fighting before Breda played Newcastle United in the UEFA Cup.

What About Euro 2004 where English football fans have clashed with Portuguese riot police in southern Portugal in the first major outbreak of violence at Euro 2004! ....

I can go on and on. FRom way back ALL the way to recent times, English fans are disgusting. I never said anything but the hypocracy from the posters in this thread was over bearing. Before you critique Turkish fans(known for being the most supportive), take a look around at England and critique them first. English fans are dirty and instigate anything they can. Refrain from posting through ignorance and make sure you got you facts reight before sounding pretentious.

Our hooligan problem is constantly being dealt with by our government, our Police and our supporter groups.Who is dealing with it in Turkey? Our hooligans number very few now.We have banning orders in place for all our thugs so thay have to hand over their passport and cannot travel abroad.Do your government do that?
You talk of Hysel stadium like it was the fault of English fans.Unless you are very ignorant, you know very well what caused that stand to collapse. And do not imply like most people that the Juve fans were innocent in all of this.I was there that night, and i was shot at by a juve fan with a starting pistol.Thats why the Juve fans were chased. They began by throwing all sorts of missiles into the crowd. The fact that the stand collapsed was the fault of the stadium, and UEFA,and both sets of fans.
We are always going to have thugs and idiots that follow our teams. You have them and we have them, but you have more my friend. That is a fact. And we try to control ours.Your Country do not.We do not support our thugs but clearly you do.
Turkish fans may be very supportive of their teams, and thats to be expected, but you guys treat every game like it is a war,and usually people do get killed.English hooligans are thick idiots who drink too much, throw a few chairs ,have a fight and shout a lot.How many of your fans carry knives and are more than ready to use them?I dont support idiots from any country including mine, but some of your fans are psychotic mate. You insult every nation that your team plays, and then you get upset when nobody likes you.Other countries just forget about it but you guys want to kill. You guys take everything too personal.Dont try to defend your bad behaviour by giving examples of other countries problems.Come out and say that you believe that Turkish hooliganism is a disgrace,as i do about any hooliganism. Also for your information,UEFA and FIFA have recognised England this year as the country that has done the most to stamp out its hooligan problem over the years,Its about time your government did the same.I still hope the Turks dont make it to Germany.I'm taking my kids and for their sake i dont want your team there.
You are proud i see that you are regarded as hostile.Thats nothing to be proud of mate. You would be ashamed if only you knew the meaning of the word.

You failed to respond to several of my points, yet only you managed to reply on fallacious grounds

"We do not support our thugs but clearly you do."

Get your facts right before you post.

Straight from CNN:

"The TFF called on Turkey's supporters to behave well at the return leg in Fenerbahce's Sukru Saracoglu stadium despite these "insults".

"The best way of responding to the bad treatment is on the pitch against our opponents," it said.

"We ask our 42,000 fans who will fill Sukru Saracoglu stadium to cheer as loudly as possible but to avoid any behaviour which would incur punishment."

:hump:

Shhh...

El Fin for me because of your partial ignorance, this is not leading anywhere... :ewan:

well at least the TFF is distancing itself from the hooligans and any violence. i hope the turks do provide the atmosphere only they can, but in a good way. but threats and violence will get you nowhere

Well thats good......i think. They seem more worried about punishment from FIFA than bringing disgrace to the country.Still its about time so this is at least welcoming.

Fallacious.....isn't that the posh word for sucking c.o.c.k......?

hey.... and i'm happy that you only regard me as "partially ignorant".Thats a big step up from your original opinion of me,so it looks like debate is alive and well.Anyway dude, nothing personal, just wish we were all together, united in condemning violence connected (or not) to football. One day ,maybe we will all agree that there is no place or excuse for it.......Peace......... :ewan:

They threw eggs at the bus..So what? The Swiss threw fruits at our goal keeper, they sweared "in Turkish" at our coach, Fatih Terim. So now they are civilized and we should be banned from uefa?

Excuse me, but there a lot of racists here.Racism is growing stronger in europe, what a pity.

pede54

Its not racism mate....its anti hooliganism. So they threw fruit at your keeper? So your guys have to do the same right? That makes you as bad as them.If you didn't react like you did, then you would hold the moral high ground and the Swiss would be the ones to look bad,and not the Turks.Dont you agree that this behaviour from the Swiss fans and the Turkish fans is unacceptable? If what they did was so wrong, then how does retaliation from you make your actions right?
If one missile lands on that pitch,Fifa will ban your asses. That might seem unfair to you but thats the way it works mate.I have travelled the world as a peaceful England fan ,and i have witnessed provocation towards us from every country i have visited. Some idiots react to the provocation, most do not,but it was always England that got blamed for the resulting mayhem. Not the Germans, not the Dutch, not the Spanish or the Portuguese, not the Turks, not the Croatians, but always the English. You have to learn to ignore the things that are said and the things that are done to you, because in the end you will get the blame for everything.Even if its only a small number of your fans, you will ALL get painted with the same brush.Thats happened to us for many years.Even the Turks have tried to provoke English fans into trouble because they hoped that Fifa or UEFA would blame the English and not the Turks, and give us a ban.You know this has happened in the past. Now it is your turn to be the bad boys of football, and those idiots who threw eggs are playing right into FIFA'S hands.Turkish football is walking a tightrope at the moment and all eyes are on you.

well pede, i agree with you that they were hooligans in the airport. But what makes me angry is that everybody talks as if the swiss did nothing and our fans were the only guilty one.And please don't generalize it.Some fans may have been hooligans in the airport, but there were only few people there.

You know what? I'm very angry at the swiss because they behaved like true punk asses in switzerland. But that doesn't mean I wanna beat 'em up.I'm at college now, studying economics and international relationships, so i can handle my feelings. But I thought that the swiss were one of the most educated and civilized ppl in the world, now i see they're not.Maybe education has nothing to do with it.
