I didn't expect Federer to lose, but Federer wasn't even playing 3/4 of what he can really do. In a regular day, he would have beaten Novak.

Even though, Novak did a very solid game. His serve was unstopabble at times, especially when he was in pressure.

The semis ain't that bad if you look at it just that Federer's been so successful that people just expect him to win everything.

Pretty good women's final, Sharapova was just too powerful and Ivanovic had too many unforced errors as well. Ivanovic looked like she was going to cry after she lost the match. :( But she's moved up to number 2 in the world which is a great achievement.

Hopefully the rest of the women's finals in the Grand Slams for the rest of the year consist of such nice eye candy.

I'm very disappointed. Ivanovic seemed to do not care about every single shot as Sharapova. She just didn't handle the pressure of the Grand Slam Final.

I watched the women's final, and I very rarely watch tennis... even LESS if Federer and Nadal aren't involved. Not a great match, but definitely the hottest match I've ever seen. Ivanovic just got crushed. I know the sets seemed close, but watching the match I was surprised Ivanovic got anything off Sharapova. She looked awful by comparison.

Sharapova's way to the final looks impressive: she has consecutively beaten Kostanic Tosic, Davenport (a former World No. 1), Vesnina, Dementieva (11), Henin (1) and Jankovic (3).

On paper, the Davenport win looks like a good result but she's was finished well before this tournament.

From that list it's really only the last three that had some serious bite. It was going to be a major uphill challenge, for any of the first four, to beat her. And three is typically what you would expect, inorder to win a Grand Slam.

You could argue that the last time an "Eye candy" final occured was in 2004(French Open), so don;t expect another anytime soon.

Good match overall. I expected a little bit more from the frenchman's side though. It could be 5 set match, if he would used Djokovic's problem with legs.

Djokovic deserved it pity Tsonga couldn't play at the level that he was at against Nadal. Thumbs up to Australian Open lots of good matches a great start to the tennis season.

Justine Henin is set to announce her retirement at the age of just 25. Shocking a real loss to the game.

I can't understand people who retires when they are at their best. Now, there's no decent Belgian tennis player. :(

She just wants to stay with the family, that's all. She already has enough money. So why not? If she preferres the family?

Both Romanian. They will play the juniors final at the French Open. I wouldn't mind playing some "tennis" with the one on the left.
